I know some of you stay on almost all year round…my question is do you do one long never ending cycle using the same products or do you overlap different products in kind of sub-cycles? How long do you stay on per year and are you worried about possible health concerns?
I was thinking that women often stay on the contraceptive pill for years on end without a break…is what we do that much worse?
My reason for asking is I have just made some awsome progress on a tren/test cycle and was considering extending the cycle by another 6-8 weeks by switching to some lower risk products like proviron/deca to maintain current gains.

probably, look at the difference in the levels of the hormones used and the fact that there are increased health risks, particularly cancer. now, how this would affect you depends on YOUR genetics (whether they be weak or not for things like cancer). as for the deca/proviron, after a long cycle, your natural production is like zero and the deca would probably be enough to keep you shut down well. as for long term use, i would say that if you are otherwise healthy, then you could probably get away with up to 20 weeks of 600mg/week of test (based on the 1996 study by Bhasin et al in the New England Journal of medicine). outside of this, it is pretty much uncharted territory, but remember that any health issues are usually dose and duration dependent, so if either increases, so does risk.
Good post bro…I think the cancer issue is more of a concern for bros using GH though…For the bro finishing the cycle, I’d just start a GOOD PCT program and wait til next time. In my experience, cycles extending beyond 12 weeks (like 20 wks) don’t offer much of an advantage to the traditional 10-12 weeker. Most of my gains stopped at the 12 week mark and at best, I just solidified my gains for the remaining 8 wks I was on. Long cycles are VERY HARD to recover from I might add.

i meant with the oral contraceptives. i was trying to point out that the risks are magnified with exogenous hormones added to the mix. for some people test will cause terrible side effects, for others, there is no issue at all, not even hair loss. i think that it would be better to use shorter cycles and really focus on recovery so you can start another cycle if that is what you are after, that way one could run like 4, 6 week cycles a year if they were truly core.
AAS and cancer has never been proven. Infact, some steroids are used to actually combat cancer such as in breast cancer. Cancer caused by HRT is corelated in women who take estrogen/ progesterone replacement therapy, but as of yet there has been no such correlation between cancer and anabolic steroids. For some lifters hrt is a reality. -Myself included. When I am off my test is in normal range, but low normal, and that is after trying many different products to boost it up. What I do, is plan a bulk or cut cycle and do it, then do a maintainance cycle - usually small amount of test and a small amount of deca. These two compounds have actually been aproved as male contraceptives, or hrt by the WHO. If you are planning on having kids in the future, a regular HCG protocol is also a must. I just recomend you keep the test doses low enough, that no anti-e is needed, as you want a break from taking them as well.
How old are you bro? Hopefully not too young as HRT is one of those situations where once you go down that path there’s no turning back.

Age isn’t an issue bro, It wouldn’t be so bad except for the fact my wife demands it every day! - and as far as hrt goes if I use it for the rest of my life great! I’ll feel way better then if I didn’t so whats the big deal?
