Hyaluronic Acid

I have osteoarthritis in my right knee. I take fish oil, MSM, glucosamine but considering taking oral hyaluronic acid. Anyone else take it?

Sounds sort of like me. I have been bothered by what I presume is an arthritic right hip. Have nagging shoulder and back issues too. I’ve been taking hyaluronic acid with collagen supplement for about 6 months now (replacing the glucosamine I used to use). Anyways, I still have what feels like inflammation in those areas occasionally. But I haven’t had to suspend my lifting due to any injuries lately, so I think it may have mild, supportive benefits.

One thing I stumbled upon accidentally that really seems to provide immediate benefits, is this little electrical stimulation device (my wife got after knee surgery). I’ve pretty much taken it over, and whenever areas seem inflamed, I stick the electrode things to the area for about half hour.

Does the electrical device work and what’s it called?

Spray-on magnesium “oil” is supposed to be a decent localized anti-inflammatory. It’s cheap enough to test it out at about $8-10 per bottle. It seems to help my knee. Any decent health food store should have it.
