HUMAN EXPLOSION!

Hey T-gang, in need of some more assistance I am afraid…I have been taking advantage of the summer to really pack on some qaulity mass, and well lets just say my problem isn’t taking in all those enourmous amounts of calories(cause I love to eat) its keeping myself blowing chunks like a bloated pig. I fuel myself 6 times a day with muscle building healthy foods and find myself wanting to hurl. nothing i take helps either, Tums, maalox, nothing! certainly some of you have had similar experiences and can help me with my dehlimma.

Do you mean you hurl when you’re lifting? Or just at random times through the day? If it’s random, you gotta problem, go see the doc. Otherwise just don’t eat so close to training.

actually its just around evening time when i am full to the gills(literally) of food

You may just be eating too much. Try eating a little more for the first two meals, then a little less for the last two and see if it helps. [I assume you’re not putting on a lot of fat on current calories either.]

What do you mean taking advantage of the SUMMER to add mass? I tried bulking in the winter and summer and I just couldn’t do it in the summer – too hot, uncomfortable eating all that food. Winter is easy, though. So I’m only gonna bulk in the winter now.

This is not uncommon at all. When I was younger, I used to pack in 12 egg whites (3 yolks), fat free cheese, 4 packets of oatmeal, and 4 pieces of toast for breakfast. And afterwards I would stand over the toilet spitting and anticipating vomiting. Sounds nasty, I know, but it was a reality. Also for dinner I would eat 1lb of pasta (1lb before cooking) with 1lb of extra lean chicken). Again, over the toilet. I got big and didnt get too fat but my body didnt like all the food. Certain foods will cause such a response. I dont know why. Funny thing is that after a while it just went away. Now, Im a bit older and cant eat as much so I NEVER feel full after a meal. But I remember the “good old days”

I full squatted 405 for the first time since injuring my knee on friday, so i rewarded myself with eating 1.35 lbs. of ground beef. I was about to hurl for 3 hours after that.

Perhaps helping the body’s digestive abilities with digestive enzymes would lessen/relieve your problems. The best ones are broad spectrum PLANT BASED digestive enzymes. Plant based digestive enzymes are superior to the usual ones containing pancreatin because they work in a broader range on pHs. This means that they work in both the stomach and intestines unlike pancreatin.

Try eating a small peice of fresh ginger at the start of each meal. This will help smooth your digestion and relieve some nausea.

Bigswol suggested ginger pre-meal, which is an excellent idea. For convenience and portability though, you may want to try a ginger root supplement, which can be found at any health food store, pharmarcy, or supermarket that carries herbal and natural supplements.

Thanks all, I am trying to manage…although like Mr. Berardi I too have the post-meal qausi-vomit state(yesterday I actually burped up a frickin noodle!) and then it passes. i cut back from 7 meals to 6, and I am slowly trying to caox my stomach into giving me the space for one more. I’ll keep you posted.

JMB comes through again - it helps to know someone else never feels full. Ive always been able to see my abs but I swear my body is trying to trick me into getting fat nowadays. If I dont train for a few days (and maybe if I dont have flax at night), I crave and will eat icecreams and biscuits non stop in addition to a reasonable amount of clean protein/carb/fat. When Im bulking I will eat about 1.5 pounds of beef plus some vegetables or a whole medium chicken and STILL feel hungry. Like I said Ive always been pretty lean but either my body wants me to store some fat or there is some weird new psychological stuff going on upstairs.
