Huh? What's It All About?

Can’t you do that yourself?

Oh God, my eyes! It burns!

Sure I could, but it is a lot easier to go to the competition and get exactly what I want in one package. Plus, I don’t have a clue what unflavored protien powder is going to taste like when I mix it with Nesquick, and I rather not take that chance.

The SAMA forum is getting the same way. It used to be we talked mostly of sticking it in her pooper and looking at pics of tits and ass. Now, we’re debating the place of men and women in society. I want the football locker room talk, not the cheerleading locker room where boys (literally, <18 boys) come together to ask about getting over their gf of 2 weeks breaking up with them or talking about how to have sex for the first time.

As a sidenote, everytime I have been to NY Barbell’s site I find myself transfixed and puzzled by that .gif of what looks like Sergei Kharitonov attempting to propel himself into Superman flight from a GHR.

Now that you have brought it here, I don’t think I can ever escape that haunting image.

I would like today’s Powerful Images more if they had just a hint of facial hair.

ok, I’m a little slow and just discovered this thread. Did I read things right…Is there really going to be a forum for non-figure competitors outside of MWA? cause that would be awesome.

Not that anyone cares about my newbie opinion, but I didnt really like the MWA makeover either. It really is all figure competitor stuff and I’m not a huge fan of that whole sex segregation thing either.

You’re not just saying that because its part of your top secret take over plan, are you? Its because I’m special…right??

If you’re not a fan of “sex segregation,” why do you want a separate forum on T-Nation for women?

I know I am rather new but as long as I have a place to put my journal, MWA or Testosterone, it doesn’t matter to me. Though I have posted on the new MWA it really isn’t that much use to me because although I want to lose weight I also want to be strong and am more geared toward strength then figure.
I’m not worried, I think TC and the rest of the mods will find a way to work with us on this issue.

Well I guess you got me there. That does sound pretty hypocritical, doesnt it?

To clarify, in general, I do not like the sex segregation. Sure, there are many “crossovers”, but for the most part, from what I have seen, forums like Bodybuilding and Strength Sports are mostly populated by men, and many women stay in Muscle Sorority/MWA.

I don’t care where I post, but it would be nice if there was a “right” place to go. MWA caters to figure girls, and while strength sports may not have a “no girls allowed” sign posted, there aren’t many women over there. I don’t have a problem with either group, but a change would be nice and if another women’s forum is the solution, well, its better than nothing.

maybe that makes a little more sense

Look, now you’re just complaining for the sake of it.

Chocolate Metabolic Drive tastes better than any crappy choc. milk drink. But if you’re happy with your walmart brands then more power to you.

But what originally this post was about, you’re turning into your own diatribe against… what exactly? That the protein is not flavoured to your liking?

I for one feel grateful that I found this site when I did. Otherwise I might still be a trainer at fitness first, doing cardio for fat loss and crunches to get a 6 pack.

Me personally, the only thing I don’t like about this site is the pictures of roid freaks over every article now. It leaves me cold as they have a look that I’ll never attain, than 97% of the population can never attain and quite frankly, grosses me out.

The old schoolers? Yeah, keep them coming. Sergio looks amazing in that pic, girls shoes and all. But the new schoolers? It’s just not a natural look. More like a fetish object.

Not my cup of tea.

But the site? It is what it is. It’s the community that make it or break it. The articles, for every clanger, there’s a good one. You try publishing 4 articles every week. You will have to settle for less than stellar material every now and then. For the amount of great stuff I’ve learnt (for free) I’m quite happy to wade through a throw away article every now and then.

With MWA being all set up for the figure girls, why are they originating their figure contest prep logs in the MUSCLE Sorority?

You would think they would get the more directed attention and focus for their endeavors at a site specifically geared towards those competitions.

Also, MWA is really heavily moderated now or was it always that way? Is it the mods or maybe it is just the tone of the posts where no one dares call someone on something. Jack Doe tried and was nearly run out on a rail for daring to question someone’s progress. It is a freaking khumbaya party where everything is okay, and everyone is doing great and cheats are understandable, and each person’s life is so busy (not that anyone else’s is) and so they are gods to make it to the gym and if they don’t well they deserved the night off.

And no I don’t have a log, and no I am not training to compete. What I am is a person who wants to live a good and healthy life and have a body that can do what I want it to do.

Well I didn’t know I had all that in me.

EDIT**
I read the strength logs more often because I like to compare my numbers.

I appreciate that TC returned the Muscle Sorority forum after the last change. Thanks for that.

You interpreted that wrong. It was not a complaint, it was an explanation as to why I don’t buy more Biotest products and a suggestion for what would entice me to buy more. If I am going to give a company my money for a protein powder, I want it to come flavored. Biotest Grow! Premium Whey is unflavored, therefore I shop elsewhere. I am not arguing about taste, and I never referred to Metabolic Drive.

Nope, merely throwing out a suggestion. You are taking things out of context.

Me too.

I would rather see less articles that are all worth reading. And remember, nothing’s free, there’s this little thing called opportunity cost. This whole site is an advertisement for Biotest, which isn’t a bad thing as it does give us access to excellent information, but it isn’t exactly philanthropy either.

The idea of a Strength Section for women is a good idea, plain and simple, that would deff. be wicked cool. I actually checked out Muscle Sorority threads, and god damn, where’s the positive criticism? It seems like every girl there is doing everything perfect, and there’s no call outs, I mean c’mon it’s cool that women are training, but there shouldn’t be a double standard either. That’s why I like the few strength logs, since they can deal with positive criticism, not so much the figure gals.

P.S. Buckeye, maybe…maybe not

Women can have their own forum, It’s a good idea, Some parts of their training may be different to most men’s. having a place where that is recognized is good. On top of that none of the other forums are gender biased towards us males. We just have a larger population. I personally don’t see how making them a place to dicsuss is an issue.
