He was the one who pushed for Jackman to bulk for the role hopefully the new director stays the course.

Agreed. The article hinted that Jackman was still in bulk mode, which is a good sign that he has taken Aronofsky’s ideas to heart. Course, it all depends on who the new director is…he might be asked to slim down again.

James Mangold (director of Walk the Line, 3:10 to Yuma, Knight and Day, and Cop Land [where Stallone famously dirty bulked, haha] has been officially named to the project.

Above is a pic of Jackman from last week, but there’s talk that he may end up starring in a Les Miserables film before starting The Wolverine.

^^Arms look good… that vein in his right arm is awesome

I have NO idea how many calories I was taking in during my college days when I was a competitive thrower, but I would wager it was more than 6000. AND I am a midget.

LOL at the 6 K bulking debate! Just for example, my brother is 6’ 3" and when he was in high school, as part of a nutrition class, he had to track his calorie intake for 2-3 weeks. I don’t remember his weight, but he was definitely less than 220 (he hit that in college). He was playing basketball and preparing for outdoor track (discus and shot) by weight training. This on top of his classes and he was eating 9,000 to 10,000 calories a day and maintaining his weight.

6,000 calories at 6’3 and 200 pounds should be relatively easy to do.
Your brother was in his 40’s in high school? That is the only way it is relevant to the conversation.

I swear to god you people are the biggest dumb shits in the world with zero reading comprehension. No offense.

Looks decent here and this is the greatest team up ever Green Lantern and Wolverine

Well he is 42.

Maybe not heart attacks but how healthy could bulking at such a late age be?
STFU
I’m 43 and trust me, you train hard and eat lots of good food and you’ll be way ahead of the average 40-something on every health measure.

Jackman is just typically misinformed. Besides, I’ve seen previous interviews where he complains about having to train and eat lots of protein. That’s fine for him – he’s not into it, it’s just part of his job. We can’t all have the same interests.
