How many of y’all have experience with low T. I am 38 and my T is 254. I’m also 100lbs overweight right now. I’m wondering specifically if it’s possible to raise my T naturally. And how would you go about accomplishing it. If not what are your experiences with HRT, benifits and pitfalls.
Loose weight and I suspect your T levels will increase. Get a test for estrogen if this is high losing weight will certainly work

Pay attention to discussion of drugs that can increase E2 levels and lower T.
You may have syndrome X, low T, elevated E, cholesterol problems, weight gain and insulin resistance. Do you have cholesterol numbers and fasting glucose? You need lab results to know more.
Low thyroid levels, hypothyroidism, also fit your description. Check your body temp when you wake up before you get out of bed. Patterns of 97F or less are indicative of hypothyroidism. Search for symptoms of hypothyroidism. Feeling cold during the day when you should not can also indicate thyroid problems. However, being overweight might mask some of that. Note symptoms involving hair, skin and nails.
Some have hypogonadism and hypothyroidism, and either can cause or amplify the other to some extent. Both can create your problems along with libido, mood and depression problems; most of which can be resolved with HRT.
I do not expect that loosing weight would lead to decent T levels. I also expect that your current state of hormones probably would make loosing that amount of weight impossible.
ALWAYS get and retain copies of all lab work. You will need that history and you will not get your issues resolved by being passive. Your post is a good first step.
You need labs for:
glucose
homocycteine -heart/artery disease
PSA
CRP -general inflammatory marker, [elevated with heart/artery disease]
TT
FT
LH, FSH [test before starting TRT, no point in testing after]
E2
DHEA-S
TSH, fT3, fT4
The above can be tested cheaply here… out of pocket:

You need EFAs in your diet; fish oil, nuts, flax seed etc. You need lots of vitamin-D, 6,000iu per day. Might need more if you sun exposure is low and/or you have dark skin. Use a high quality vit and mineral supplement that has high levels of B vitamins. Start these now.
Are you taking meds for cholesterol? And do your have muscle pain?
Nothing gets fixed in isolation.
