How's My Diet?

So im a big fat fuck; been lifting fairly consistent since last june. I need to lose at least 25 more lbs of fat this summer. Im currently about 6’ 2, 300-305, 49 inch waist. Heres my current diet that I follow (sans maybe sundays when I replace a meal with a sandwich or something)

Meals 1-4: 8 oz raw chicken, 8 oz stir fry frozen veggie mix cooked in oil, teriyaki sauce for flavor

Meal 5: 6 egg whites, 2 whole eggs, sometimes cheese depending on mood/hunger, salsa on top

Feel free to suggest changes. I work a desk job so Im not real active during the day and due to ankle injuries/gout I havent been able to do walking/running much for about 12 weeks.

So you are basically getting no carbs?

Understand that the faster you try to lose fat, the higher the risk of losing muscle in the process. You’ve got some leeway because, like you said, you’re a pretty big dude. But still, the sooner you can ease up on trying to rush progress, the better.

You don’t go insane eating chicken stir fry four times a day? I know I would, but if you’re fine with it, I guess pretty much stay the course. That kind of consistency certainly makes calculating your macros and calories pretty easy. Does your teriyaki sauce have sugar in it? If so, that’s something I’d swap out immediately.

Also, I’m not a fan of egg whites on a low carb diet. You’re losing a bunch of beneficial nutrients when you toss the yolk.

The Green Faces diet is similar to what you’re doing, with a few tweaks (more veggies and more diverse proteins in particular).

You don’t need to walk or run for cardio. Complexes are brutal if you don’t overdo the intensity.

But if you can’t walk on your ankle, are you doing any lower body strength work?

Maybe try and vary things up a bit. lifes too short to eat chicken and eggs only.

What are you doing in the gym? Pics would help.

They’d help with what? I don’t see the need.

They would help me give out the most appropriate advice regarding his training and nutrition. Its all about the big picture, Colucci. Thats why me and Nards had started the quarterly picture check in, which you have taken credit for starting.

Why isn’t this sufficient for you?

Exactly. There’s simply no need for pictures of a guy in this kind of shape. A photo isn’t going to provide any useful information that hasn’t already been mentioned.

Man, you’re so desperate for attention it’s absolutely laughable.

I didn’t “take credit” for anything. I simply started a thread that I thought would be good for the forum. You were free to do the same, but you didn’t. All you did was start a thread a month earlier talking about people changing their avatars, but then you didn’t follow though with anything. Anyhow, I can’t believe I keep replying to you. I’ll do my best to avoid engaging you in the future.

^^ I, for one, have always enjoyed the ‘Chris C vs bird’ exchanges.

And yes, from what I recall, bird’s proposal was only ever avatar-related. I can see how that captures the fundamental idea of the “check-in” threads but it don’t go further.

I am the ying for your yang. The key for your lock. Evil vs good. Superman vs Luthor.

Without our rivalry, there would be no T-Nation.

Bird. Word.

I hate to interrupt a lover’s quarrel but have you considered intervals on the bike. I did this after my knee surgery with stellar results. Also body weight training. You can form a complex that involves no ankle movement, provided you can still put weight on it, barbell complexes would work.

And have you tried intermittent fasting?
