It is for the military. I am considering joining the Marines as an officer after graduation, and the recruiter said I should aim for 24 minutes at the highest. I am preparing now. I am trying to overshoot the goal, which is typically how I go about setting and achieving goals.
Thank you for the pace goals and recommendations. I will see how I can go about achieving it. The recruiter said that if I do apply, then they train together leading up to the final date of the physical fitness test. But for now I will continue the interval training and long runs, knowing that I need to bring down my 1-mile and 3-mile far more than I thought.
Nobody is mad and I wasnāt trying to imply thatās āthe way;ā more so that youāve plenty of options - the key is to pick something and get running.
The problem is that you did not introduce your threads with the information that you are preparing for armed forces selection in X months time. Specialised, elite etc etc.
100 posts without that information is not good.
I had not made the decision when I made the first thread. Then it was just about general cardiovascular health. I finally made the choice just before posting this one.
