Ok you advisers you - I finally got some all natural PB and Ll natural jelly (“Simply Fruit”) - with Ezekiel bread to replace the Jif (hadn’t had for weeks) and smucker’s big sugar jelly.
I have to say that’s the best damn PB and J I’ve tasted to date. The break is meh ok - nuked it for 12 seconds to soften it a bit.
LOVE the PB especially - the one she bought me is made by Smucker’s. I’ve yet to go by the health food store to compare the labels, but eventually will.
You guys have been the cause of my diet getting a ton better than it was while I was dropping vast amounts of flab, so thank you very much.
Sadly (my own fault really), I’ve not trained for 7 days, and the cardio has been only 3 during that time. I’ve allowed, like a sorry Dumbass, things to do with my wife and her schedule - added to a few appointments I had. To distract my ass plumb out of the gym.
Tomorrow restarts that shit, and next time I run into a situation where I’m thinking “Maybe I will just skip today,” I will remember that one day leads into two, and next thing you know I’m wayyy the hell off track. I mean sure I knew I shouldn’t, but did, and I’m ashamed of myself. Back to the iron tomorrow I swear.
A little screw up today means I will have to print a few cheat sheets with my exericises to take with me…See, I went downstairs to get coffee brewing this morning, and laid my phone on the stove top…grabbed a pack of bacon (thick peppered) from the fridge, put the skillet down and turne d the burner on. When I saw smoke, lifted the skillet to see WTh was on the burner, only to see that I was having a fried Apple (iPhone) with breakfast today. Thankfully I keep insurance on the stuff, but that’s a $225 deductible and no phone till Tuesday. What a gooberhead I am :/. Oh frickin’ well, things do happen. Aside from those things though, I managed to burn the thumb on my right (bad) hand and now, like fourteen hours later, the damn thing still burns. It’ll frickin pass but damn what a way to start the day…
Sorry to hear about your phone, it’s a knucklehead move that anyone with a few distractions in life could make. Don’t sweat it too bad. I own 4 phone repair shops and hear a lot of stories about how people destroy their phones, though Your stove story was a first! Post a pic if you have one?

Phone repair would be right up my alley with the proper equipment and drawings, but this one was literally cooked so hot it burst at the seams. Sadly I’m unable to get a pic of it because it housed my only camera
I did get my old arse back to the gym today, and boy it felt good. Didn’t move anything impressive but just showing up and gettting the workout in really upped my mood, then when I got home just now I hit two more HotRox for good measure and will be taking my dumbbells for a walk in about 4-5 hours … Meant to do that in the morning, but it didn’t work out today with my wife off work for the holiday. Gotta mind the missus ya know.
So the battery expanded and it split itself apart? The batteries can explode with potentially-dangerous gases. Count yourself VERY lucky that some of the liquids/caustic gases didn’t mess you up worse!
Explosions are not uncommon when these get heated enough.
Yessir it did burst like that. Hadn’t thought about the gases till u said that and you’re right - could be hurt me worse than the burnt thumb.
Got tracking info and will have the replacement Wednesday. Would’ve gladly paid for overnight shipping but they may not have adequate stock for that. Seems like a missed opportunity for who ever the supplier is.
Then I got to looking at the rumors for the iphone8 since I upgrade annually - boy this one is going to be a much more impressive iPhone than the 6 to 7 was. Will prolly be Q1 2018 before the OLED model I want is stocked enough to ge one but that’s fine cause I want it bad :/.
Ya know, ten pound Dumbbells don’t seem like much until you take a walk carrying them… Got in around .75 miles like that earlier and my triceps definitely felt it.
I really need to do this fasted first thing in the morning! Maybe it’s something I can start doing progressive overload with just for kicks. Even with the ten pounders I got some odd looks from neighbors, reinforcing that I’m doing something right for a change
Got a total of 3.5 miles walking in, packin’ 10lb dumbbells with a total time of 34 minutes. Yaaay, that’s nicer than treadmill time

Then I had to go to the dang dr for an ongoing issue with my eustachian tubes, and when they took my BP it was 124/82. Last time, when I’d just started using HotRox, it was significantly higher on the systolic, although I’d have to scroll back to see HOW high it was then.
And I’d had my typical 6 full cups of coffee by the time my 1530 appointment happened. Seems that my system may regulate its pressure better than it did at first, a nice thing to note IMO.
Now, on a related note, I’m noticing the flab on my gut much worse than I have for a loooong time. May be because there was so damn much of it there for years, that the remaining flab is getting on my last damn nerve. I want to look down and see some ripples. It’s been, let’s see, 25 years since that was the case. Not too late for it to be that way again, but damn it’s a lot more difficult now than when I was 22! If only .
Re: a weight vest, you’ll pay a little more cash but if you’re into the idea of buying American (you’re a freaking patriot, aren’t you?) then you might consider Rogue Fitness vs. the listing you found from Wal-Mart (I didn’t look at it, but my default assumption is that everything sold at Wally World is cheap imported stuff).

Yeh we don’t want to fit in I don’t think. Most people seem to get their exercise carrying a case of mineral water or similar into the house. If I wanted to fit in with the neighbors I’d have to move way south of the Mason-Dixon Line…they can look. They can even ask as long as they don’t expect me to stop for conversation
Was up all damn night last night cause of an ongoing inner ear issue. Ended up almost batcrap crazy, went to the ER this morning. Dude gave me FIVE different scripts, two of which keep me from driving, or doing damn near anything else useful for a day or two.

Inner ear issues requiring LOTS of medicine, including Vicodin, can’t drive or do near anything for about 5 more days because of it. I guarantee I’ll be pissed enough about it when I get back to it that I’ll hit it that much harder!
