How to Get Rid of Stubborn Test Acne?

But when you quit the tabs, does it still come back?

It shouldn’t, because the accutane destroys the sebaceous glands irreversible. I got some acne on my shoulders and back too ever since puberty but the risks of accutane outweigh the benefits I think tremendously. Everybody’s own decision but I won’t do it in the next years. The more selective drugs seem to have a side effect profile as bad as the original stuff too

I just finished the Accutane a couple weeks ago and also started a new cycle at the same time… so I’ll let you know how it goes. Fingers crossed.

I’m VERY bacne prone and didn’t want to use accutane, so I attempt to manage oily skin as much as possible (you’ll still get some acne because of the hormonal aspect). This means showering 2 times a day and IMMEDIATELY after workout, using soaps that don’t have ingredients that’ll clog your pores, exfoliating daily or every other day, and believe it or not, use lotion (again, without ingredients that’ll clog your pores, I use Cetaphil). This keeps my acne manageable enough where I’m not embarrassed to have my shirt off, just a blemish here and there on my back/chest. A day in the sun takes care of the rest. It’s really a balancing act because you don’t want to dry your skin out too much.

I’ve tried Dr prescribed antibiotics, ointments, etc and none of it really worked. What works/didn’t work for me may/may not work for you. It took a lot of trial and error to find a method and products that worked for me.

Man I can relate.

It’s frustating lol, like just about the time when the gains start looking great, when you’re transforming, the damn acne comes in and you gotta cover yourself up at the gym, always get that on test.

Which soaps can you recommend? The ones that dont clog pores.

Im always afraid to scrub? Since it seems harsh I always thought wouldnt it damage the acne, making them longer to heal/dissapear?

I’ve had luck with Ivory original bar soap and Dial White Antibacterial Bar Soap. When I wash I mix bar soap with Neutrogena Body Clear Acne Body Scrub on a lufa. For my face, I use AcneFree Oil Free Acne Face Wash with 2.5% Micronized Benzoyl Peroxide.

I don’t scrub my face, but I use an exfoliating lufa on my back/arms/chest. The key is to not dig in and it won’t damage! I personally exfoliate every night. Some will say every other day or even more extended than that. Again, find what works best for you and go from there… lot’s of trial and error on my end. I also immediately moisturize with Cetaphil lotion after showering because dry skin doesn’t help the situation either.

So now I am just on TRT, no cycle, and I thought I was fine first few weeks, but now acne is suddenly breaking out again week 4, pretty bad too.

This is seriously so dang frustrating… It almost makes me hate testosterone, I just cant seem to run it without getting acne everywhere. I started with a high trt dose 200MG, which I now lowered to 140, I’m even using AI but it doesn’t help.

I am honestly clueless and hopeless, why can I not run Test without breaking out, my friend is running 500MG + orals, hes on a actual cycle, and 0 acne, not even 1 pimple, Im just so sensitive.

If anyone knows the magic treatment or remedy, please inform me, anything that can help I’m willing to try, im so frustrated, if it goes on like this ill have to cover myself up again, which i dont want.

I get a bit of acne on my back. It isn’t nearly as bad as when I was a teenager though. I have scars from that period still on my shoulders and a bit on the face.

Washing often will help. Benzol peroxide works. It seems sun exposure helps.

How bad is it? Do you have a picture? My acne was so bad as a teenager, that sometimes I think people way over exaggerate their acne. My sister in law is on acutane, and I would not have been able to get down to her pre acutane acne level as a teenager. Not even close (maybe with acutane I would look how she does when not on it). She thinks it is terrible to have a couple pimples LOL.

Well it isnt as bad as when im on a full blown cycle, but its bad enough for people at the gym to think im on gear.

I dont have any acne at all when im off everything, just test makes me break out, ill try to make a photo later, my arms shoulders back of neck, and back all have acne on em, you can clearly see the contrast between my normal skin and the rash even from a few meters, so yeah : S

Ive tried drying soap, soap without perfumes or certain chemical etc, ive tried staying dry, tried staying hydrated, tried covering it up, showering multiple times a day to keep it clean, none of that works for me ugh

You are on gear (I consider TRT gear, especially if you have blasted). I tell most of my gym friends that I do TRT, and that I have done a small blast. I don’t think most care at all.

I was on an oral acne pill back in the day. It was not acutane, and worked differently (think it was called minocycline). It worked fairly well (still had more acne than most, but it was like a 75% reduction). I think too many people who go on acne meds want the big gun of acutane right away. You could do some research into some of the mild acne meds out there. Not sure what sides there are with the mild meds.

To be clear, I don’t really know how mild minocycline is. The Dr. made it seem a lot less aggressive then acutane.

Yeah I’ve heard a lot about accutane but still haven’t dared to try it, I read things about the side effects like it thickens the blood and can cause blood clots, plus raise blood pressure even more? Well that is one thing I definitely should avoid since I had plenty of blood issues already before. I don’t wanna risk getting a stroke trying to get rid of my acne :S Otherwise I wouldve jumped on it already.

75% is plenty for me, if I can get a result like that it would be great, i’ll check that out, haven’t heard of it yet. Anything else that might work available in pharmacies or regular stores? Anything natural?

Here in Germany Doxycycline gets used which belongs to the same group of antibiotics. These are tetracyclins which are some of the most side effect free antibiotics. Especially in these small doses they are very mild in terms of side effects. A detrimental effect is that on doxycyclin you should not take sunbathe as it makes the skin sensitive to UV light.

Im checking these reviews here, the good ones are quite positive, but then the negative ones are a bit disturbing lol, i dont know what to do.

Its primarily damaging to the liver. I think you should do it under a Dr’s care. My ex-wife and my daughter both have done Accutane TWICE and finally gotten results. Accutane literally changes the cell structure to prevent acne.

I had zero noticeable sides on it. Not even the sensitivity to sunlight that @lordgains mentioned (the doctor warned me about it, but never had an issue with it).

Additionally, with sites like drugs.com keep in mind people are much more likely to report negatives. Try searching drugs that are well known, and you will see negative reviews as well. Not saying the negatives shouldn’t be acknowledged, just understand that stuff like Tylenol gets bad reviews too. Maybe compare the reviews to acutane.

Accutane has some scary effects to it, i even read it can cause fluid in the brian or swelling in some cases? I already have a high intercranial pressure, that could literally kill me.

I guess it depends on the dosages as well? what dosages have they done with minimal side effects?

Also, was it neccessary to run twice to get rid of it?

These sun sensitivity sides are most of the time over cautious. I took drugs in high doses too that should have that effect and nothing happened when I was an hour in the summer sun

Both of them had cystic acne and had some improvements from the first treatment but my ex was in her late 40s getting acne so they ran it again and my daughter had her second treatment in her late 20s.

I ran a low dose on myself a few years ago when my back acne was flaring up from a blast. I just ordered it from a European site and ran about a 25% dose based on my body weight. Ran it for about 45 days with no issue and it fixed me.
