How to Get it All Out of the Vial?

I’ve been having trouble getting that last little bit (maybe 0.2-0.3mL) out of my 10mL vials, and was wondering if anyone had any tips on how to get it all out with a needle, or any alternate techniques for getting at the dregs

I was considering just cutting a hole in the rubber stopper with a knife, but there must be some better way…

You put in a needle a small depth, angle the barrel of the to the left or right (90 degrees from vial) so the needle is flat against the rubber, make sure the bevelled end of the needle (the flat and sharp hole) is down and draw while rotating the vial. When you here air sucking in job is done.

That gets anything worth using out i find.

If you turn the vial upside down when extracting oil with the needle just slightly penetrating the rubber stopper, you should be able to get at those last few drops.

Cut the aluminum crimp top off. Use an exacto knife or something like it. It’s a little tricky so don’t let the blade slip and cut your fingertip off. Once you have pried it off, all that remains is the stopper, which you can just pull out with your fingers. It will come off easily.

You now have an open vial, and can easily use a 1.5" needle to suck up the last drop of your oil.

Thanks for the info guys…guess il go buy the right knife
