The funny part is, most of us sat there and said this same shit when we were your age.
Funny how it happens, but it does.
Life changes, perception changes, things get different.
I can only hope to be an old, successful, grumpy cunt someday like some of you guys here ;)
It’s sort of inevitable. At least the grumpy cunt part.

Which I am just starting out myself. I just don’t like whining. Not that you came off that way, but a couple in this thread did and a lot of guys I went to school with and graduated college with have that same mentality.
Push, AC, usmccds243, do you guys know what it’s like to complete a Mechanical Engineering degree from an ABET accredited university (or similar science/engineering degree)? IF you had a clue, you would provide at least a small amount of respect for those of us that have.
I know what’s it like to get an accounting degree from a AACSB accredited college and then send out 200+ resumes netting 3 interviews and 1 job. This is after serving in the Marine Corps, graduating Cum Laude, and having worked full time for about 5 years.
Where did I disrespect engineers or that particular degree?
Also, I’m 28…
LB is an engineer, and I see disrespect thereâ?¦
you’re only 28? I thought you were like 35 or so… I guess I was mislead by the fact that you are arguing on the side of the older guys here (or maybe you just don’t like LB?).
200:3:1 with an accounting degree?? DAYUM dude I am genuinely surprised. I went like 12:2:2(â?¦2 offers) out of school (not complaining obviously).
LB called me an idiot before I addressed him at all… Again, I don’t see what that has to do with his degree or profession? Conversely did LB disrespect accountants or accounting degrees because he called me an idiot? I don’t see how the two are relate.
I am arguing on the “side” I think is right, which happens to be the older crowd. As an older student (went back to school at 23) I saw the entitlement attitude first hand while having a different perspective than most others (having served and being older).
I also expect more from my generation because we have advantages our predecessors did not.
I am not nor will I ever argue that life isn’t/can’t be difficult. My argument has and will always be that life is what you make of it.

Where the fuck have YOU been?! LOL Welcome back!
Totally late to the party dude! Truth is I forgot how to use the internetz. Lol. No, just been dealing with some pretty bad circumstances that would take a novel to write if you want the real answer.
I’m sure it’s give and take across the board, and I honestly don’t know what time it was harder to live on minim wage (1976 or 2014).
I would say it pretty much sucks in either era, and is good motivation to figure out a better way of doing shit.
But specific to the thread, both allow you to buy your own pasta and maybe have a couple bucks left over for a joint and a burger with a lady who has low expectations and lower self esteem.
And THAT is all I was really saying! If you are 18, don’t call your parents stupid if you don’t like the pasta they buy - buy your own!

Well when you feel like writing the novel, I’m sure we’ll all look forward to reading it. But glad to see a member of the old guard back again. Cheers!

I agree with most of this statement especially the part that I bolded. I would consider higher education beyond a parents requirement to their children (which it seems you agree with).
OP “has come of age” imo.
Yup. Naturally every generation is going to want to give the next the best things in life to the best of their abilities. That includes saving for their kid’s college funds and all if they have the financial means to do it.
But therein lies the problem.
Dumb brats like this can’t distinguish between an ENTITLEMENT and a PRIVILEDGE.

I would never call my parents stupid if they bought pasta(unless its not straght pasta), the problem is that they dont buy the food i need. How am i suppose to be a hardcore beast if i dont eat like one mate? What would you do if after a heavy ass set of dl you come home and see that your mother cooked a stupid plate of Borscht? How would you feel when i night you cant sleep cause sometimes keeps popping in your mind “What muscle my body is gonna eat today for fuel?I bet 10$ its the shoulders(i have weak shoulders maybe thats why)”.

Did you mom think up that “test” for you or did you come up with it all by yourself?
