How Obama Got Elected

Obama is the new Warren Harding; a handsome, well-spoken compromise who doesn’t necessarily have any executive skills. He’s the scapegoat when the shit hits the fan.

Interesting snippet on Harding in the Wall Street Journal:

"Elected by seven million votes thanks to the electorate’s loathing for Wilson, Warren G. Harding confessed to reporters that he was not up to the job. He told one newsman that he wanted to make the U.S. tariff higher than the Rocky Mountains to help Europe’s industries recover from World War I. The appalled reporter realized the president had one of the biggest issues of the era exactly backward.

Harding had a concealed box at the Gayety Burlesque Theater where he spent many afternoons and nights. In the leftover hours he concentrated on poker and trysts with a blonde named Nan Britton – reputedly in a closet off the Oval Office – while his appointees looted the federal government."

If Obama somehow acquires Bill Clinton’s more endearing sexual proclivities over the next couple years, I believe he will come to resemble Warren G. Harding all the more.

Obama was elected because he got the most electoral votes. This is simple 4th grade material.

If there is a liberal media bias, it is at least balanced out by Fox News, the bastion of conservative ideology.

Further, Obama’s personal magnetism, and ability to coherently state his views, contribute to the fact that he received the preponderance of electoral votes.

Finally, the results of the exit poll, which led to the conclusion that Americans who had voted for Obama did not understand or know his platform, may have been irresponsibly collected. In other words, a distinct possibility exists that a small set of data was extrapolated, or that one region was favored over another in data collection. One cannot put unwavering trust statistics whose conclusions deal only with absolutes.

I see, so Fox News balances out all the other sources? I know it’s the most watched, but, that’s quite a stretch.

Do your own research. Go ask obama voters about issues. I have and it’s frightening.

Pick whatever group you want. Ask specific questions. Ask them about things like: tony resko, earmarks, cabinet choices, etc.

You’ll be astounded. I hope you’ll also be quite afraid.

The moral to the story: The media chooses candidates very poorly.

Good post.

It’s sad, but, true.

He ran against a Republican at the end of the Bush era.

Yep. He also was helped along by a large cadre of sycophants.
