How Much Protein for Muscular Endurance?

If one is training for local muscular endurance, then about how much protein per lb. of bodyweight would a person need?

Too many variables to properly answer.

Really depends on your other macros. If you’re a low-carb follower, your body will need more protein to use as fuel in addition to repairing tissue.

What is “local” muscular endurance

between 1 and 2 g/lb. vague question gets a vague answer

1 gram to 1.2. There are a lot of NEW medical journals and research to suggest that over that is pointless for muscle growth. Now before everyone started to jump on me for saying this. I’m not saying that taking more then that is a bad thing, but the 1 to 1.2 is all that will be used for muscle growth.

why would you want to use protein for fuel? Wouldn’t anyone want to use fat for fuel? Wouldn’t you want to use the protein to re-build?

When TRUE low carbing, burning protein for fuel spares your body using your muscle for fuel.

Doesn’t apply if you’re training for endurance.
