I’ve ditched milk entirely and added fish oil and noticed massive improvements in cardio as well looking more defined. I am not a weight lifter, rather a fighter, so cardio and fast RFD is more important than strength and looking stacked.
In place of cows milk I drink either rice milk or, just recently, plan on trying out almond milk. Apparently it’s as easy to make as a protein shake.
i’m very lactose intolerant to raw milk. i can have a little cheese, but raw milk really fucks with my allergy tolerance. especially to other things that i have a slight intolerance to. it also gives me alot of sinus trouble and cleans me out pretty good.
A gallon of organic whole every 3 days. 3 glasses a day basically. I’m finding it easier to pack on bodyweight since I stopped drinking skim milk like a sissy a couple of months ago.
I’ve heard the down side includes lactose intolerance and perhaps consuming too much lactose (milk sugar). Neither seems to bother my body.
I need the calcium and milk washes down my meals great, so I would keep drinking it even if I’m not trying to do my body good.
i drink about 2/3 a gallon of wholemilk everyday. mix my 2 protein shakes in 2-3 cups of milk each, have some here and there threwout the day and usually have a big glass before bed.drinking 10 cups of whole milk per day equals protein-80 grams carbs-120 grams sugars-110 grams total fat 80 grams (50 grams saturated fat). it’s got plenty of protein in it to helpme get tomy 275 grams per day and it makes protein shakes taste soooooooomuch better. i would probley die without my milk and i can honestly say if it does come out to be “bad” for i’ll still be popping the good ol red top everyday!
As I (try to) understand it, one of the problems with milk is that it causes a large insulin spike, so depending on your meal timing etc it may not be a great choice.
Personally, I’m on something approximating the T-Dawg 2.0, so I dropped my milk down to 200ml with my morning oats because I was struggling to reduce carbs.

I believe someone else in this thread also stated that it is too hard to bulk up eating only healthy foods. Well, yeah of course it is, but in the long run the weight that you gain will be much better than on a dairy bulking diet.
I’m sorry, but what the hell? The weight you gain will be “better” if you avoid dairy? What does this mean and do you even know what you are talking about? If I drink milk and gain 20lbs of muscle mass, this weight is somehow “bad muscle weight” compared to if I had avoided milk and gained the same?
Bullshit flows like waterfalls of 2% low fat around here.
Oh, this is new, “The Prof”, is taking offense as to what someone said. Let me clarify. Most people tend to gain more fat when using dairy products to gain weight as opposed to eating cleaner foods. That is all I am saying. If someone can gain 20lbs. of lean mass eating alot of dairy products, hey I’m all for it.

i read this whole thread and can someone actually explain what the reasons for not drinking milk are. i prob drink about 1/2 gallon a day mabey more.
If there were real reasons, it wouldn’t be the recommendation of every big dude to any other dude who wants to gain significant muscle mass. It’s cheap, it has protein in it, and it is great for people who are trying to gain weight, especially if they have a fast metabolism.
I honestly believe that if the people who seem to despise it posted their pictures along with the guys who rally around it, the evidence FOR drinking it would be pretty clear.
Obviously, if dieting, anything other than skim milk would be the first thing dropped. For those who are lactose intolerant, they sell lactose free milk. If you have some type of allergy, then avoid it. It is that simple.
