How much is a good amount? I currently have Zinc 50 mg (as Zinc Gluconate) and Magnesium 250 mg as (Monomagnesium Di-L-Aspartate and Monopotassium Aspartate)
Why not just get a ZMA product like the one sold here at Biotest?
I’m between houses and jobs so I don’t have a proper mailing address or much money in the bank haha. Some stores supply ZMA, but it came out to about $2 a pill at GNC so I went with these, which were a lot cheaper.

$2/pill or even a serving for ZMA? wow, I knew GNC was a rip off, that’s crazy expensive

On sports nutrition I find they are usually 2-3 times the price of most online retailers. Which is retarded. I have no problem paying a bit more to walk in and look around, but 2-3 times the price? No way.
Yeah. I don’t mind payin a little extra, but I really can’t afford $2 a pill. I made sure not to get the magnesium oxide, which I hear is crap, and instead the magnesium aspartate, but it also has potassium in it. Is that okay? I got zinc gluconate, which I have read is the same as in most ZMA
400-500mg magnesium citrate
30-50mg zinc citrate/gluconate
If I remember correctly, if you’re supplementing zinc, you’re also suppose to supplement copper with it, (multi-vitamin provides my copper, hopefully it does a decent job).
I’d think that first and foremost, your age & training volume/intensity are dependent on how much. The ZMA supp itself is probably sufficient for the average gymgoer. But I myself frequently doing 2-a-days take in 1-2g Magnesium Glycinate and 50-150mg Zinc citrate/histidinate/alpha-ketoglutartate/picolinate/aspartate (multi zinc pill) and/or ZMA before sleep. Had no intention of getting this particular multi zinc pill, I just came across it and decided to buy it.
I think I remember hearing that you’re only suppose to take 30mg maximum at a time. But, recently I found a post on here, stating that from some book it was recommended to take 50-150mg a day, 50mg at a time. SO I gave it a shot, and upped my multi-vitamin to two times a day. I hit the weights and do anaerobic cardio pretty fuckin hard, so I figure it is justified.
Additionally, I recently started to take a more healthier weight gainer and really up my carbs (entheogens, T-Nation user, recommended upping my carbs, which would help reducing my cortisol from low-carb diet, since I mentioned I’ve been having a very difficult time getting good sleep. Big ups to entheogens, been having phenomenal sleep now and I definetly think the carbs were the major factor, with magnesium being the close second).
Would love to here some opinions from peeps who are more familiar with zinc and mag protocols, especially article contributors! Any input on my supps structure is greatly appreciated as well!
Fuck GNC!
Well Biotest sells 2 for $26, which means you’d be getting a 60 day supply for less than $0.50 a night. I think that’s pretty cheap (free shipping to US customers).
