That is definitely not true.
There are WAY more variables than that. Genetics, intensity, etc.
Don’t make blanket statements.
Chris, you’ve said that my program doesn’t have enough volume to stimulate optimal muscle growth right? I’ve proved to you that’s not the case. It has a lot of volume. There’s a daily limit on how much muscle you can stimulate in a day and even Chad Waterbury said this in an article.
Changing programs back and forth, back and forth is going to shortchange my progress. So i’m just going to stick to my current program, ditch the singles, eat more, drink more water, sleep, repeat. You are right about that, i should stick to my program and do it if i believe in it.
I never said that i design better training plans than Chad Waterbury.
Why? Just because he is not ripped to the bone doesn’t mean anything. Blaha can destroy the fitness industry. He proved that you don’t need to buy retarted training programs, meal plans, overpriced supplements, straps, belts, warps.
If you believe in it then go do it. No one will stop you.
But from a person that literally tried to do something similar after 3 weeks, your body will HURT a lot if you are using an reasonably heavy weight for you. You need to work up to that type of volume tolerance.
But there is absolutely NO WAY you can keep intensity up for 12 exercises. I know A LOT of strong people and absolutely NO ONE, even the high volume guys use that many exercises in a session. 8 is absolute max, but not everything is high intensity.
Bless your joints.
Well true, you don’t need to buy training programs, meal plans, and all that other shit. All you gotta do is work hard, work smart, eat well, and do those 3 things for a long long long long long time.
I’m not going to do 12 exercises. The full body program was just an example.
I will run this:
6-7 days a week?
Yes.
Blaha didn’t prove any of that, what are you talking about?
Are you suggesting belts and straps are not useful for lifting purposes? Try competing in strongman and see how well you do without those things.
I’ll also address the wraps separately. Are you saying that wraps are useless for bodybuilding? That seems to be utterly stupid to me. I started wearing wrist wraps years ago because… wait for it… my wrists hurt. Why did my wrists hurt? Because I was regularly bench pressing well over 300 lbs every week. And given my wrist structure, that load was sufficient to cause substantial pain in my wrists. Sooooo I’m really not sure how you can make the claim that wraps are ‘retarted’.
They are not useful for the average lifter who lifts to look good for the beach.
Why don’t you just do:
WORKOUT A
Back Squat - 4x6-8
Bench Press - 4x6-8
BB Row - 5x10-12
WORKOUT B
Deficit Deadlift - 4x3-5 (why not do regular?)
OH Press - 4x6-8
Chin Ups - 5x10
Week 1: ABA
Week 2: BAB
Week 3: ABA
Week 4…
So lets say Week 1 you do 8, 8, 6, 6. Week 2 you do 8,8,8,7. Then week three you do 8,8,8,8. The once you can get to the top range like 4x8 then add 5-10 lbs and repeat. You do that for like 6 months, you’ll set yourself up with a good base to work from.
sounds like you’re moving the goal posts. And that is very subjective anyway.
I smell troll. Too many triggers being brought up to drag folk in.
Using a belt on a squat is not going to build your raw squat.
Using a belt on a deadlift is not going to build your raw deadlift.
Using straps on a deadlift is not going to build your raw deadlift.
If you are training in equipped powerlifting then go for it.
Using straps on a deadlift is not going to improve your grip strength for wrestling.
Lmao
None of what you mentioned isn’t raw.
I don’t like it because you are only training lifts 1-2 per week. I think novice lifters can benefit from training a lift at least 3 times per week.
Using straps and belt on a deadlift is not raw deadlift.
See above
Unless you have your own federation where you made up that rule, this is not true. Belt and straps are not considered gear or equipment by any governing body.
