That’s interesting. I could try that. I’m not keen on the highs and lows, it’s bearable but not optimal. And it’s like I’m just waiting till the next ‘episode’.

Drop test down to 10mg/d, add MENT at 1-2mg/d, you’ll feel great and have none of the issues you get with higher testosterone. I know that’s been a struggle for you over the years, so this could be a possible solution. (Full disclosure: I think MENT is a solution to an awful lot of problems, so I have a strong bias)
Do you know your SHGB?
I agree 29 is not bad and should not cause anxiety or mood swings.
How big are your peaks and trough? I use T cyp and inject twice a week with an 8 day half life I don’t think my peaks and trough vary much.
I’ve heard good things about MENT, if only I could get it on prescription. Its a no go for me unfortunately.
SB
@Singhbuilder long time no speak my friend. Surprised by this question as your knowledge hands down exceeds the average member. As you know this varies per person and from memory you and Testosterone have a troubled history. Too low is non symptom relief. For me free T in the upper teens works. I have my highest libido and well being there but we are all different animals.
I don’t know how high my peak is but my trough is around 460ng/dl.
My shbg has been as low as 6 nmol/l when I was on low dose Mast and its come up to 11 nmol/l after coming off. Still out of range and low but almost doubled.

Long time indeed brother. Been off for ages, I have been in touch with one brother on here via email though so would be good to stay in touch!
I think I already know the answer to the question, as you said its all about how you feel. I guess I fluctuate so much I can’t say I’m happy with the regimen so was looking for pointers.
SB
I can’t figure out what it is but by the evenings I’m feeling not so good, irritable and pissy.
SB
You sure that is just not covid depression?
I am sick of being forced to wear a mask.
I am sick of the lockdowns.
I am sick of the riots in the streets.
I am sick of hearing about so many people dying.
It has been over a year with no good news in sight.
That is enough to make anyone irritable and pissy
I’ve seen it now become a real mass problem. I know a few people in my very close circle who suffer from clinical depression because of the one year long social isolation. These are 20-30 yo people with no underlying health issues, staying at home and not seeing anyone because of the danger to 60-85 year olds with underlying medical conditions. Thereby wrecking their own health.
I’m sick of all of this. I can’t wait for this to end.
I’m not proposing a solution here and I don’t want to start an argument about measurements and stuff.
I also did not want to start a covid discussion other than to suggest to the OP that could very well be a possible reason for feeling bad. I think most of us are holding it in quite well but just under the surface, I am ready to punch somebody.
Where can we build our fight club? You got an empty basement?
Your not supposed to talk about it.
Guys I’ve been suffering from a very bad distended stomach for a few months and it just doesn’t seem to be reducing. Could it be TRT related? I’m not on any orals.
SB
I would guess it’s not directly related. Usually that comes from a few different places, including digestion issues, gut biome problems, etc. How’s insulin sensitivity/resistance? Sometimes you’ll see guys get distended guts because insulin problems are leading to digestion problems. Have you tested FBG and A1C lately? Maybe try metformin or berberine for a few weeks and see if it gets better?
Side note: someone very close to me had this issue, didn’t go to the doctor because he’s a stubborn man, and ended up having emergency surgery because he had a massive blockage. Be sure that it’s not that first. Because that’s one of those life threatening problems you want to rule out first, however unlikely it is.
Thanks for chiming in on my thread @iron_yuppie
I can’t imagine insulin resistance would be an issue, it’s not really something that runs in my family, also I intermittent fast so I’m sure that keeps it sensitive. Diet is generally healthy with 1 cheat meal a week.
My digestion has been good so far, no constipation or any stomach related issues.
I’ve let it be for about 2 months but now it’s undeniable. I’m a shadow of my former self. I don’t even look like I train, i actually look pregnant.
Saw the doc today who prescribed omeprazole and wants me back in on Monday.
SB
Sorry to hear that my friend. You were a beast while partaking in the sauce. We all have that regression after stopping and you’re running fairly mild test levels on TRT. Probably to be expected despite your best training efforts.
Regarding your bloating/distension has this been noticed by others? Sometimes we get things in our head that are not as severe as we think.
omeprazole (Prilosec) is an antacid. Do you suffer from heartburn?
Sounds like your diet is pretty dam clean.
What about alcohol consumption?
Not like a beer belly which is low and around the waist, whiskey will give you a distended stomach high like your liver is swollen.
Insulin sensitivity as mentioned above is worth checking out. Amazon sells those stick your finger blood glucose meters dirt cheap these days and no script is required. might be worth a try.
You think it’s bad… Over there… In the USA? In Aus they’re talking about keeping international borders shut for at LEAST another 12 months, probably another 36-48 months.
We (our govt) have made the decision to become a hermit nation as our vaccine rollout progresses at an unprecedentedly slow pace.
In the meanwhile Europe appears to be sloooowwwwllly opening up.
Our government is trying to, and will successfully further tighten exemptions that approve travel so familial deaths, funerals and the likes will no longer be considered apt means for “essential” travel. Sixteen months after pandemic initiation coupled with little communicable transmission and our government decides it’s time to increase border control, imposing jail sentences for anyone who leaves Aus even if they come back and quarantine in NZ.
They are, however talking about initially granting travel exemptions for those who meet “essential” criteria and who have been vaccinated (gee… How progressive!). After which vaccine passports may be created allowing vaccinated Australian abroad, provided other countries will take them in.
This works for me, as 30% of Australian adults have expressed they are not willing to get vaccinated. I support authoritarian action when the balance of our society as we know it depends on it. Don’t want to get vaccinated? Fine, then you’re a liability; prepare to be unable to travel interstate when covid breaks out.
The funny thing is, we have the vaccine supply; but people aren’t booking in. This can be emphasised in that various vaccination hubs have called on ANYONE to come in and get vaccinated regardless of eligibility. The astrazenica vaccine is “not recommended” for under 50’s and WA has taken the typical, knee jerk, Australian “nanny state” action of banning medical professionals from administering the shot to under 50’s.
So younger people are supposed to get Pfizer, but Pfizer is nowhere in sight? Fuck that, I’m getting the astrazenica vaccine if I can… We are still shutting interstate borders/entire cities down every time one or two cases pops up in the community. I reckon our govt will have a very hard time adopting any strategy aside from “net ZERO cases dammit!”
Parliament is still shut down here. Federal elections begin at the start of or during the first quarter of next year. Who wants to put money down the government in power will suddenly open borders as if they’re our “saviour”. That or labour will make a promise to instantaneously open borders, lamenting the liberal government for keeping things shut down for so long despite the fact they’d have done the exact same thing had they been in power.
