How Long Can You Cruise without Blasting?

Long time listener, first time caller.
I can’t find any threads about this, sorry if there already is one.

10-15 years ago I did what you’re not suppose to do and did some oral cycles only. Ansvar, Winny, Dbol. I was lucky that it went well, specially since I never used PCT. Now I’m pushing 40 and for the last 6-8 years, I’ve been anything but myself. I grew up with lots of energy, let’s do this mentality and a drive in all aspects of life. Been active with martial arts and lifting weights, most of my life.

When I turned 30-31, it started to slowly change and today, everything is a hustle. Getting out of bed, work, no sexual drive, no drive at all. I’m tired 24/7, even tho I eat 80-90% healthy, sleep mostly ok, work out 3-4 times a week.I have a pretty good life, I just don’t enjoy it or have energy to do something fun on the weekends. I drink alcohol every now and then, get drunk maybe 6 times a year.

I did get a test, but I live in a country where getting TRT, is harder then getting all the pills in the world. Test came back, nothing alarming, but in the lower normal range. Two tests after, almost same numbers. I tried telling two doctors, that they have to check the symptoms and not just the numbers, that lower normal never was normal for me. No luck, what so ever. Been trying to get TRT for 3 years.

So, I have to be my own doctor. Getting pharma-grade gear is hard at all. Here’s my question.

Should I start at a TRT level dose, 100mg 2xW?
Or, cruise at 150-200mg, since I probably will do a blast in January?
I have to go to a private clinic, what values should I check when I get bloods done?

Thanks for all help

What values did the doctors order the first two times you had your values checked?

Is this a TRT clinic? They will probably know what hormones you need to get checked.

Did you get any other tests done? Thyroid? Iron levels?

These sounds like the exact same thing … what am I missing?

It was supposed to say 50 2xW

There’s no such thing as a TRT clinic in my country. We are far behind from were countries like US are…

He check free T, TT, SHGB, hemocrit, creatine, and some other things that has nothing to do with test levels. Two doctors have checked the same thing. Seeing an urologist privat it very expensive. Iron levels have almost always been very good, last time it was slightly bad, was 16 years ago. Hemocrit has both been very low and now it’s normal.

It depends on what you want: if you want to replace your natural testosterone production with exogenous testosterone that will keep your levels within medically acceptable ranges, you will go on TRT. This is usually a ‘for life’ decision so choose carefully.

For me cruising means keeping your T levels above ranges in order to keep as much muscle mass as possible that you acquired during many of your blasts which you can’t keep on pure TRT levels alone. I don’t fall in this category and most likely neither do you.

If you do decide to go down this path, my advice would be to start at a conservative dose (100mg-120mg a week), get blood work done after two months to see where your levels are at and adjust from there if necessary.

There are several things to look at when getting blood work done: TT, FT, e2, SHBG, LH, FSH, prolactin, ferritin(iron). You could look at other things if you have particular concerns.

Im going to give my doctor one more chance at doing this right. Not sure why I bother. Been going at it for a long time now.

If not, I will give 100mg a shot for 3-4 months and get bloods in between.

Is this all I need to show my doctor, so that he might be willing to test me properly this time? By the looks of it and with all my symptoms, I have low values.

Spoke with a private clinic today. It’s a bit pricey to get the tests there. But, if it’s the only way, I guess I can save up for it.
