Hell no. I have tattoos and don’t want them ruined by trying to get a tan. If i’m outside I always sunscreen em up or cover them so they don’t get ruined.

The controlled amount of UV exposure is really good for base skin color. Note I didn’t say tan because even after going to the tanning bed I look super pale.
One I’m slightly tan it really helps prevent early season sunburns. Along with SPF 70…haha
Cover your face and manjunk. Wear the goggles.
First time use a low intensity bed for 10 minutes if you burn easy…longer if you don’t
make sure the place is clean.
Note: I think tanning beds are proven treatments for eczema and seasonal effective disorder

Being tan is a good thing. I tan. Tanning beds don’t turn you orange, tanning creams do that. Your skin reacts to the UV rays from a tanning bed the same way it does to rays from the Sun. Pretty much everybody tans outdoors when on vacation in a place like Florida. Therefore nobody can make the argument that merely being tan has any implications about your masculinity.
Now, lets consider the tanning salon itself. Yes, it is mostly chicks, this is true. (but is that really so bad?) Many effeminate men use tanning salons, this is also true. However, most of the people around you are fat. Most of the people around you are ugly, and most of them make no attempt to better their situation. These people are the majority of our population, and they determine what the social “norms” are. Being tan is glorified in the media because people generally find it attractive (otherwise it wouldn’t exist there in the first place). Therefore, we can conclude that most of the people around you are full of shit and spend their days bullshitting themselves. Getting tan either through a bed or the sun is an attempt to differentiate yourself from society’s norms in the same way that working out separates you from the crowds of fatasses.
