NFL players[1] get paid millions per year, and many (most? all??) of them are enhanced. Presumably they get the very, very best medical advice, very frequent blood tests and analysis, all other comprehensive health monitoring, and presumably the stuff they get is from top-of-the-line compounding pharmacies. I assume they are NOT trolling sites like this or Reddit asking for advice, or asking the biggest Gym Bro for advice, buying stuff out of some guy’s trunk in the parking lot, etc, etc.
Is there some underground? or totally legitimate?? set of doctors? clinics? pharmacies? providing advice/analysis/stuff to these (hundreds of thousands? millions??) of highly-paid professionals, and everyone knows all about them but me??[3] If so, how does one get plugged in? Or is there something else I am totally missing?
[1] Same with many, many other athletes, professional wrestlers (the Rock is like 100 and still ridiculously jacked), fitness influencers[2], etc, etc.
[2] Until very recently, I thought all you had to do was work out like a maniac, eat right, get enough rest, etc. I did NOT know they are all lying!! every fitness celebrity influencer is lying to you..
[3] “Oh, sure Earl. Everyone knows about them, we just didn’t tell you!”
I was going to say the same thing. Elite athletes are called elite for a reason. They have top of the line athleticism, work ethic, coaching and diet. This is totally separate from a celebrity fitness transformation. These athletes transformation start as kids and a lot of work and time goes into the finished product you see on the field/court/mat. They are pretty much all drug tested and the ones that fail tests get reported.
Pro bodybuilders are a different story. Unless it’s a drug tested show/organization, there is no testing and most all will be using steroids at the IFBB Pro level.
Don’t let the drug use or genetics of others have any impact on you or your training because it has none. I have been taking the advice of steroid users my whole lifting life and it has worked out fine for me as a natural!
Well, as a former purveyor of black market vegetation back in the 1990’s, my organization operated with agreements of secrecy intended to evade the detection of law enforcement. The agreements worked as intended.
I’m not sure how steroid rings operate today, but it is probably a lot more sophisticated than my network operated in the 1990’s.
As far as I know, we are discussing stuff that is typically not legal, so there is very little information that is openly available, or scientific. I knew football players in high school who were on lots of PEDs and were friggin’ massive. Again we mostly have anecdotes, so I’m not sure if we are over- or under-estimating PED use in athletes in general.
Yes, I am obviously asking for me. How do I, or can I (or you!) get plugged into the system that the pros use, even if we are not pros ourselves? Lets say you have a lot of money, and want the best possible – and safest – enhanced care and are willing to pay for it. Can we get plugged into that system?
I have worked out, and have been big and muscular, my entire life. Recently woke up and found myself in my 50s, worked out extra-hard and extra-disciplined, along with great diet, etc. for an entire year, and put on 0.00 lbs of lean muscle, and lots of fat. I am literally willing to do anything to address this, and am considering every single possibility. I have lots of money, but not enough time to research everything myself, and am willing to pay experts to help out, and would love to be treated by The Rock’s doctors so I can look just like him Not kidding at all.
I feel like you’re trying to fix a diet and training issue with hormones. When you try to cover up deficiencies there with drugs, that’s where you see people shorten their lifespan
you can always pay a coach that will guide you as best as they can, but the issue is usually that they are limited in the number of clients they are willing to take.
You can pay to train under John Jewett if he has openings.
You’ll have a hard time getting a spot to train under Hany Rambod, but it could be possible.
There won’t be doctors to guide you through this process. These people would be guiding your gear usage, diet, training, recovery, etc. They would also be watching your bloodwork and progress.
@subs99 Maybe just age related ? At your age ( I can say this since I am older) hard to gain muscle. Normal profile is to lose muscle, so 0% gain is a progress of sorts.
Fat gain may be diet related, eating same number of calories for a slowing metabloism.
