How Did You Find T-Nation?

After MM2K began to fall to shit and everyone was jumping ship, I picked up the first issue of Mind/Muscle Power. It had an article by Poliquin and a link to www.testosterone.net. So I quickly made my way to the site. I believe that was in Dec. 1999. I’ve been reading, posting, using Biotest supplements and subscribing to the paper mag ever since.

I had just met a coworker at our headquarters. I had just finished going through a divorce and lifting was the only thing keeping me sane, so he picked up that I was fairly serious. We were discussing nutrition and he gave me a link to the T-Dawg diet. I started browsing and realized that, thinking I was pretty knowlegeable, I didn’t know s#!t. Now I check the site every day, and learn something new every time I start to think I know what I’m talking about.

I stumbled across T-Mag about #2 hardcopy. Promptly bought a subscription and a bottle of TRIBEX.

I was relatively new to weight training (almost one year ago, in november 2003) and a guy at a local supplements store told me to read some stuff written by Charles Poliquin, so I searched for his stuff and found t-mag.com, the rest is history.

I found this site after surfing the web and finding the article about black domination of sport. Hit up the homepage and since then, my knowledge on lifting and nutrition has increased 7 fold!

This site is absolutely awesome.

Last year at about this time I started making a decision to finally get off my ass and start working out to lose the weight I had carried with me for pretty much my whole life. I was reading articles on several different sites (about fat loss and dieting and weight lifting) and someone happened to mention this T-mag.com site (along with JB’s site and the Exrx.net exercise decriptions). Being in a search for a good variety of information… I checked it out. Needless to say, I’ve been reading it ever since.

From reading muscle media back when TC was the editor. I think I still have one of the last ones when it just turned over from MM200 to Muscle Media. It’s the '97 one with a Mr. America on the cover who was buff and strong. (I wanted to look like that SO badly back in high school…)

I saw this older gentleman at my gym working out, and he had some pretty big arms but his was using light weight, so I watched. He came over we started shooting the shit he gave me the web address and I’ve been addicted ever since. It’s very rare to find a true T-person in a gym, most prefer solitary life

Ha!

my dad… almost 60, 5’10" about 190, 7-10% bf, dips with 3 plates for reps, chins with bw + 50lbs
(reminds me of Defranco’s dad)… he’s an animal

I had a subscription to Men’s Health so I started looking at their website/forum room. Someone mentioned nutrition and John Berardi’s name came up. I googled his name and I think one of his articles for T-mag popped up. I read one and I’ve been hooked ever since.

My buddy sent me a link to Chris Shugart’s Big Woof column on “How to Get Laid the Testosterone Way.”

I read that and everything else in the issue, and read a bunch more.

BTW, thanks Shugs, for all the extra action I got in law school…

I believe a friend of mine recommended that I check out CW’s Anti-Bodybuilder Hypertrophy program. Spent far too much time reading the archives.

A couple years ago, my brother showed me the ‘Merry Christmas, Bob’ article and I got hooked.

Confession Time…I used to read MF. I know, I know, I’m sorry. But, in a way it was my guide to Testosterone. I saw a few ads for T-Nation in the magazine. I finally checked it out and was instantly hooked.

I was searching the web for ways to increase testosterone levels through diet. Nothing came up on that subject, but this page was more than I could have asked for. Before that, I was getting the majority of my education through another website.

I too, like many other readers bought all the pre-existing magazines until I stumbled across this site 2-3 years ago.

This is now my training bible given that all the innovative training methods, nutritional advice and other supplementary information supercede any other types of media.

T-mag.com always gets my referral to other trainers.

By pure luck;-)

I was doing a search on bodybuilding magazines on Yahoo, and Testosterone was highlighted as “new”. I followed the link to issue number 3, and I’ve been a dedicated reader ever since. I migrated from bodybuilding training to powerlifting around 4 years ago, but since T-Mag is oriented to strength training, the articles are always relevant and cutting edge.

From what I remember, Kelly Baggett mentioned this site on Fred Hatfield’s message board like 4 years ago. I saw his post, trusted him, came here and haven’t been able to leave since. Thanks Kelly.
