How Concerned Should I Be?

Sterile drugs often contaminated pharmacists admit

What I am asking is - since testosterone injections require sterile drugs is it any safer than the medications in the news that are of course a different type of steroid and found to contain molds etc ? Does injecting oil based drugs IM put us at any less risk than those drugs which are administered IV ?

It sounds like an isolated incident.

It was most likely caused by contaminated bacteriostatic water vials used to reconstitute the corticosteroids. Or they used purified or distilled water, in which case they would be the dumbest compounding pharmacy ever.

Testosterone would be immune to this, as it is suspended in oils.

I think that this drug was been made because you cannot get a pharma produced preservative free version. So the potential for problems is high if anything goes wrong.

So that would rule out BA water. But BA water that stops bacteria might not stop fungus.

T injectables are 0.9% BA and that is bacteriostatic, also kills bacteria introduced the vial in 24 hours.
