Hmm…
That’s only 340 reps for one body part on one day. Why would you go, “Hmm…?”
I would say “Ouch”.

That’s a lot of volume, Scotsman!

You know… I’m far from the most experienced member here, but I just wanted to say that I am on kingb33f’s latest routine… and, honestly, I’m doing about 280 sets on Quads day… about 96 on Hams day…

I have noticed (after, time and time again, attempting Dorian-style routines, Max-OT - also from kingb33f, I just love his routines lol) that I just do not tolerate low volume very well. Also, I am the definition of a hard gainer (not just skinny - hard to lose fat and put on muscle)… also saw great gains on another program of his (not sure which one, off the top of my head - I just remember glute kick backs being one of the exercises on one of the two leg days)… IIRC, that program was way more volume than I am doing now so, truthfully, I don’t think it’s that crazy…

I’m actually beginning to be of the mind that what is holding back most beginning lifters is focusing on strength-based and low-volume routines… don’t get me wrong - what worked for me might not work for somebody else - but, I think, as a general rule of thumb one should focus on hypertrophy and volume as a beginner b/c it is very hard to train your muscles with low volume when you haven’t developed a certain level of musculature or coordination in order to handle pushing yourself to the very limit intensity-wise, etc…

Just my two cents, lol, but I think I am going to be sticking by high volume, frequency, etc. for a while now (I know this contradicts all the common knowledge for natural, hard gainers and whatnot, but whatever)…

Bro i could not agree more. Novice lifters get drawn into programs the see the big, already developed dudes doing. Because they think its obviously the only program to get huge. Wrong. Like u mentioned you need to develop a certain level of muscle for those programs to really be effective. I as well am starting to realize that at this point in my training, higher volume workouts are MUCH more beneficial than the low volume stuff i was doing prior. Yes looking at it on paper looks fucking ridiculous, believe me i thought so too. But after trying it for a few days i was completely aware of the method to all the madness, and the mistakes i had been making in the past. Im not saying do this type of routine for years on end. But for those out there who haven’t tried a high volume routine such as this simply because of the way it looks on paper… well good luck to you

Compliment accepted  hahaha no but it is quite a bit; but ive never hit the muscles from this many angles before with this many reps, and for bodybuilding/hypertrophy purposes i believe its the best program for me
