It doesn’t really help. Spin rarely does. You are basing your argument on government projections. The only case to be made on the accuracy of government projections is that they are nearly always wrong. Otherwise the 3/4 of a billion dollars we are wasting would have capped unemployment at 8.5%
The point of contention we are discussing is the mandate of being required to purchase it. I can choose not to pay the premium and not have coverage if I can’t afford it or don’t want it. Under the Pelosi/Obama plan I can’t choose to opt out. The penalties include up to 5 years in prison for not complying. Perhaps there will be additional incentives if you denounce your neighbor’s or parents who defy the party.
When government gets involved the costs will skyrocket. Since they will have a monopoly no incentive for cost reductions exists. Competition would lower costs but the party rulers in congress have ruled that out.
