Michael, I’ve been training submission grappling about 2.5 years, and I’ve been training boxing/kickboxing and straight wrestling for about 1.5 years. Obviously, I got a little wrestling while doing the sub grappling, but I didn’t really approach it as its own discipline, i.e., didn’t get very good.

Yes, I had approx 8 yrs of kung fu and some boxing. A mate of mine had been doing sub grappling and kept asking me to try it out, I thought it was all a bit silly until I gave it ago (about a year ago), haven?t stopped since. I originally thought it would be a good add on to help with the weights, NOW I consider weights a good add on for the grappling. I haven?t competed yet but?. How many fights have you been in? Do you win by sub, KO or points??

That was fight number eight, total, and my fourth pro fight. I’m 2-2-0 as a pro, and I won that fight a few moments after the pic by tapout from a kimura, which is my all-time favorite move.
