Honest Workout Critique?

Bloody hell… i am surprised that no one hasnt claimed that fullbody will cure cancer as of yet!

Some guy did claim that intermittent fasting cured cancer. That wasn’t as good as the part where he then claimed that IF cured AIDS, as if hoards of people in Africa aren’t starving and simultaneously dealing with an AIDS epidemic…

Your saying it doesn’t!!!? I have been lied to!:wink:

Weight loss is 80% diet but walking 1km carrying weights helps more than doing crappy lifts like fly.

It is 100% diet. You can’t create weight loss in the presence of a caloric surplus, no matter how hard you train.

“Bodybuilding is 100% diet and 100% training” -Gary Strydom

Of course as I’ve found myself telling people over the years; I’d youre gonna ignore any big piece of the puzzle why are you even wasting your time?

Well I don’t know about the rest of you but I think this new guy spits out some pretty solid advice!

Fuck training your arms, and inverted row your way to shredsville.

Super legit.

They make you build too much muscle to be effective for weight loss.

Big puffy muscles.

There’s a thread in the conditioning forum where someone asked how to do more pull-ups. In comes this dude with farmers carries and inverted rows. I mean, it’s more applicable there I guess, but the thread had already been beat to death with like 8 of us saying “do lots of pull-ups”, and “nothing has a direct carryover to pull-ups like doing them”. But yes, farmers carries.

Not really. Burning 500 to 1000 calories extra a day via exercise is better than being a couch potato.

Try 300 a day for 6 weeks

Strength is strength. You build forearm and back strength and it carries over to other lifts.

Better? Sure. Does it make weight loss happen? Nope. You still have to eat fewer calories than your body needs for weight loss to occur.

Nothing achieves the goal of being able to do lots of pull-ups like doing lots of pull-ups. Nothing. And if there was to be a carryover, it would involve vertical pulls.

More exercise means you can eat more though and regular weight lifting increases metabolism by about 8%.

Hard to lose fat by starving yourself.

Um?
