Great work, solid on the numbers. I’ve been thinking of bands as well. Not for a couple months but I think they will a real kicker.

You need a full length mirror for your cleans.

A.dynamic bench 225 8 sets 3 reps
B.4 towel bench work up to 3-5 rep
225x5, 315x3, 365x2, 335x3
C.lying db tri ext 40sx10,8,6,6
D.military 155x10,10,10,5
E.face pulls 50lb 4 sets 12 reps (on bow flex)

I rolled up 4 gym towels and rapped it in tape and stuck it under my shirt. Compressed it measures 6 inches. The same as a 4 board press. I plan on making some boards eventually but the towels worked great.

My triceps were fried. Going to try rack pulls tomorrow. I plan on starting from knee height…is that correct?
Depends. Above the knee trains the lockout, around the knee or just below gets you through the usual sticking point for DL and lower is a waste of time since you might as well just deadlift.

However, if you want to move the max amount of weight you’ll ever lift, above the knee is the way to go.

There used to be an old lift called the hand and thigh lift. You held on to a bar attached to a chain attached to a weighted bar. The bar you held would be just below your gonads and your knees slightly bent. You would then just try to straighten up. It was not uncommon for men to lift substantially more than a half ton off the floor this way.

eco - great numbers, man!

What’s a ‘towel bench’?

I roll up gym towels instead of using boards right now. Haven’t gotten around to making boards. So its just a substitute for board bench press.

rack pulls 135x5, 225x5,315x3,405x1,495x1,550x1,575x1,405x5
good mornings 135 10,8,8
hanging leg raises 3 sets 10 reps
BW reverse rows 4 sets 5 reps
DB curl 3 sets 10 reps

Never done rack pulls before. I started at knee height. I went light on the GMs because I’ve never felt comfortable with them. I want to find a groove that works for me. Had to fit this in btw kids hockey games. Going out to dinner now and then another game at 6:45.

Does anyone have any suggestions how to do board presses lifting alone? I also cant pull the trigger and pay 28 dollars for big elastic bands and a hundred dollars for chains. Just seems way over priced.
How 'bout heavy duty bungee cords. Use them to keep you and the boards tight to the bench.

Also, if they don’t feel right or if you don’t feel safe with the bungee cords, try floor presses or if you have a power rack, set the pins at different heights. Hopefully, one of these will work for you.

Stay strong!

Looking GOOD!

floor press 135x8,225x5,315x2,365x1,380x1
db bench press 80x12,10,8
chins 5,4,3

My bench I used for db press is very high. I can’t touch the floor with my feet. I need to find a better one if I’m going to do db press.

Those floor press numbers boggle my mind eco!

Nice numbers on the floor press. Was that a max? Try putting 45’s on the floor under your feet for the dumbell press.

I may have to put cement blocks under my feet this bench is so high. That was my max.

Nice work, Eco. That bench sounds way high. What kind is it?

Geech, I’m not sure what brand. I’ve had the bench forever and don’t even remember where I bought it. Its time for a new more sturdy bench.
My DBs are pipes I bought at the hardware store and just added the collars. I can make up to 120 lb dbs.

With the weight you are moving, Eco, sturdy is the way to go. I am sure your numbers will go up further when you are working from a solid foundation. I like those pipe DBs though. I envy you fellows with cellars and garages and yards and such.

I will now call you Stubby McLilliput.

Check out this guy and watch his feet:

You’re not the only one.

Are those elevator boots? I’ll have to get me a pair.

That guy is maraudermeat here on the site. He is the same height as you and near the same weight and has secured a number of RAW world powerifting records.

From the looks of your numbers, you can/are approaching what he’s doing in pretty short order.

I was only kidding about the Stubby McLilliput stuff.

Sorta. Jealousy and all that.

Been busy at work so haven’t had time to post. Skid, my legs are stubby. But my feet are big if you know what I mean. I can’t get on to youtube here at work but I will check out that video at home this weekend.

dynamic squat 300 8sets 2 reps
lunges 3 sets 6 reps each leg
weighted sit ups 3 sets 10 reps
squat 300 10 reps

Doesn’t look like much but I haven’t done above 3-4 reps in awhile. I wanted to go to failure with 300 for one set to finish. I had to stop at 10 because my legs were on fire.
My order for Pavel’s book got screwed up so I went out and bought Max Strength by Cressey. Looks interesting. I will give my 2 cents about it soon.
