Nah just giving you shit.

Xen is right, this has to be an old picture. The promo shot footage show the same old Fedor, doing the same training. I’m not that impressed. I bought into the hype when Showtime brought him in, but I think he’s been facing subpar competition for too long. I don’t see him taking this tourney, and I really think there’s only two (possibly three) top tier heavy weights. I’m talking Overeem and Barnett. That, by the way, is a match up i would kill to see!
Someone bought into the Zuffa machine.
What legitimizes the UFC’s HW’s
Cain blasting an old Nog (I guarantee most of that division KO’s him now.)
Brock beating 45 yr old 220 pound Randy Couture?
The whole division sucks dude at least this tournie is trying to sort out who the best is.
You forget yourself Sardines. I never once stated that either cain or brock would be my top picks. My post was ambiguous because I personally think Barnet and Overeem are two of the top HW. Suck ma wang.

Barnett and Reem have faced shittier competition than fedor as of late. I think Reem could come out of this tournament as the best hw but he hasn’t fought anyone lately that justifies even a top 10 ranking, and it’s the same story for jb. Barnett hasn’t fought anyone of prominence since 2006. Who’s the best Reem has fought at HW? Paul Buentello, Brett Rogers. Suck your own wang you babbling fuck, try applying logic to your many stupid responses.

It’s an old picture but fedor is still the highest ranked fighter in the tourney imo. I don’t even care who wins at this point it just looks like a great fucking battle.

he looks the same here, this is apparently from this week

its strange how the brackets are stacked, makes me think 1/2 the fights will fall through

but I am getting hyped all the same

fucking russians always know how to make you feel like a pussy…

That pic was taken from Fedor training for the Affliction-Josh Barnett fight.

And i really dont understand all this talking about fedors diet. I bet he is eating pretty clean meals that means meat and veggies. just like your mum cooks …

I do not think he has to much fat just because you cant see his abs. He stays at his normal weight and he does not carry to much flubber. All this talking is bullshit.

When he flexes his muscle you can see the muscles behind. I guess staying at his natural weight without cutting gives him an edge. Fedor can eat what his body is craving for and that really helps your recovery.

Even in my gym i see so many fighters who diet too hard before a fight. you can’t perform at 100% …

But i am biased i am a 240 pound heavyweight with a little belly fat myself…

Yeah but in any other weight class being chubby is not really a good thing.

Jeez sorry. I was going to name the title " Fedor doesn’t need to be, but here he looks really lean, but honestly, to be precise, he doesn’t carry all that much fat and when he flexes you can totally see his mussels so it doesn’t matter"

But fuck. I guess I got lazy.

God no, I’m an abject failure, please take pity on me.

I’m not ready to be a T-MAN

Recent shoot

okay that does not look very lean. lol.
hey looks like coming back straight from his christmas vacation…

@ Aussie Davo: that post before was not ment to offend you.

I have to say I apologize for posting the picture, and for saving it as “fedor_fatass.jpg”

Seriously though, it’d be interesting to see if he’s still got it, since he hasn’t looked that great (relatively speaking) since the Sylvia fight. His physicality has always been a corner stone of his game, especially on the ground, so I wonder how he’ll do against a BJJ black belt the size of Bigfoot.

Actually I was in the room when they took that picture- Yesterday
and he looks leaner in person.

that is a picture from showtime/strike force promo shoot that I worked on
this is the second part we shot the first part a few weeks ago

I work in lighting and that is the gig I was on Tuesday and Yesterday
I had planned on updating that thread- but didn’t get to it.

updated that Josh Barnett and Overeem where there while on the shoot
but did not update the rest

Tuesday we did the prelight- wed we had the shoot.

Barnett looked like he always looks, muscle and chubby
Overeem is big - and lean

Fedor looks leaner in person-
for what that means
his biceps had veins
shins had some fresh and old bruising
his ‘gut’ actually looks like big strong abs- with fat on top
when he moved and shadow boxed you could see his top four abs
they where more distended then pronounced.

He rolled with his striking coach, his main coach
his interpreter, one of the long haired long bearded priest
two gullag training partners and Alex-
the owner of the sambo gym here in LIC
who I spoke with because I have trained there a bit in the past…

the best part

Fedor wore black Uggs
black mother fucking Uggs.

who is gonna tell him anything about that- but still funny as hell
he had on white tshirt - of what ever his ruva stuff was
and a black and white sambo combat sweat suit.

those black nike or new balance shorts- where bought
he didn’t bring any fight shorts to the shoot
he is the nicest guy- super polite very methodical in his answers to the questions
all with the hint of a smile

even mentioned that his career would is in a ‘decline’

his expression save for when he joked and smiled never changed-
while he shadow boxed, or spoke to us
just like his fights.

I like Fedor’s style. I would have loved to see him be more active in the last few years but he was protecting his reputation and mystique. I would rather he makes the money than a promoter.

goes out to purchase some black uggs
Xen Nova wrote:

I bought stock.

werd right - who knew.

Fedor was kind of like royalty-
Barnett came by himself, so did Arlovski last time everyone else rolled with one dude.
Overeem rolled in with his boy and his own camera guy.

Fedor rolled in with like 6 people

all in down coats with matching fur collars
He is a totally normal guy- just his heart rate never goes above 70 like hannibal lecter
when they asked if he would use the Sledge hammer or hit the heavy bag etc
he kindly said no thank you.
then in Russian - too close to fight-

quiet badass.

here is the other stuff I noticed-

Barnett has a beard and he looked to be in pretty decent shape-
he is always a little jiggly- but his face was leaner then he was 3 weeks ago

his arms and legs looked pretty good

Overeem - what to say-
he cracked jokes, laughed smiled he is a very likable person.

dude is a big guy full 6 pack broad up top ‘skinny’ legs very vascular
I think after seeing him in person he has freak genetics, cause he was so lean

his manager/boy dude with dreads said they where in town for a few days- then going to the super bowl
to chill and doing some press junkets along the way.

Sergei Khartinov that was interesting.

He looked good compared to recent outings
visible top abs, arms and shoulders on the big side.
when he fought Monson he looked fat- he doesnt look like that-
he looked pretty thick but not like he used to either
I forgot he Knocked overeem out in 2007 they talked about that.

His manager trainer type guy was with him- and we spoke at great length
about greco- cause that was his backround- it started when people on set where talking about ears-
his where all jacked and at some point he asked about my one ear that is a little banged up.

turns out he was Sergei’s partner/trainer mostly ground game he is a tall tall like 6.5 guy from Norway
who did greco virtually all his life
said Sergei had been wrestling allot- and had a good ‘camp’ with lots of muay thai work.

Sergeis fists where enormous
