I started my Spring blast March 1st 120mg x3/wk 1000iu HCG/wk no AI for now anastrozole if needed. I usually let my E2 run unless side get unbearable.
Cardarine 20mg 5 days a week only on gym days. 500mcg Ipamorelin nightly.
My normal weight is 192 Im sitting at 202 My abs are gone.
No change in diet or exersize program yet waiting on T lvl to increase and how I feel at the gym before upping my game.
I would like to try a herbal diuretic like Expel.
My question is, is drying out dangerous at the start of a cycle?
I do have HCT issues where my blood thickens fast while blasting I had to stop my last blast early do to HCT issues. My concern is will drying out also thicken my blood?
I dont think drying out neccarily is gonna be harmful. But I also don’t think a diuretic is gonna dispell the water your holding from testosterone. And if it does its not really healthy to use diuretics in that fashion they really dehydrate more then just visible water. 10lbs is a bit On the high side but not really. Maybe try to cut some sodium in your diet. As long as the water retention isn’t affecting your BP then you might be best just embracing it.
Thanks zeek, I don’t really add salt to my food but I should look to see if salt is already added to something I’m eating.
This is the largest blast I have tried. It is only 400mg/wk but I am 65 years old so the days of 1 gram with aas’s are long past me. Previous blasts were 2 at 300 and a failed at 360 failed do to HCT to high and ferritin too low to donate blood. So I had to stop at 48 days.
My diet and supplements are the same so it must be the higher dose that has caused this extra water. I will be doing a small blood test around April 10th that is when my T cyp hits steady state. If my E2 is higher than previous blasts I might start up some anastrozole. I usually let my E2 run when blasting.
Same here. Especially when blasting no added salt and I stay away from boxed shit or pre packaged meals. Even a lot of canned vegetables etc will have lower sodium options that are better. I was amazed at how much sodium is actually in some shit I eat. When I’m not blasting I can eat pack of ramen and a bag of chips with no issues lol.
I think it’s great at your age that you in that kind of shape major respect. This is also why Im a believer in higher doses now or maybe not higher doses per se but I don’t prescribe to the super low dose theory. I’m 29 I’d like to Blast til my 40s then just be able to cruise and maintain into my later years. I can only hope one day to be 65 and consider an above trt dose!
Ok so Im not gonna neccarily reccomend this but bloodletting is a pretty simple process to do at home. You could Probably even get a doctor to order it. Or atleast get a doctor to give you a clean bill of health before doing so. It’s not for the faint of heart if doing it at home and it’s really something I’d reccomend being overseen by a professional but it does solve the blood issue.
If some slight water retention is the only side effect I wouldn’t reccomend using an AI for that sole purpose while blasting. Now if you try to lower sodium and still holding water and that water is causing elevated BP then I’d agree mayne introduce an AI. You already know my feelings on an AI. I think everything else should be addressed first and use it as a last resort on cycle. But if the E to test ratio is really out of wack I say go for it. You def have the experience and know your body well enough!
So it’s been a while since I did a full blood panel after this Spring blast. In mid April I returned to my TRT 120mg/wk dose and AI of .125mgx2/week. I had a lot of water issues this past blast and it stayed even after going back to my normal protocol. I even tried a clen cycle to try and dryout and lose a little weigh. I have really had issues with ED ever since my E@ went thru the moon (125) on my blast. I don’t take an AI when blasting but do on TRT.
Well this blood test has shown me why I can’t lose this water and why my dick has quit working. See if you guys notice it. This is a 4 day trough draw.
You guessed it. My dick quits working when my E2 goes over 30 and that was when my SHGB was 29. The blasting has brought my SHGB down to 25 so I have even less to soak up all that free E2. My standard AI weekly dose of .25mg is no longer enough if I want to maintain this TT/FT lvl.
A TT 600 4 day trough means my T peak would be in the low 800s Just about perfect for crusing.
This is the first time post blast my E2 has not fallen back in line that was why I was looking every where else for my water and ED.
You’re on 400mgT at 67? That’s pretty badass, I’ve stopped my blast prematurely (340mg/wk) due to the fact that I’m not in a great mental state and thus came to the conclusion tinkering with my hormones isn’t a great idea at the moment (not talking about the mental state things, I prefer to bottle these things up, it’s reactive, related to people treating me badly, chronic pain, and lack of direction/confusion/at a loss figuring out who I am and what I want to do.)
It’s unfortunate as I was really looking forward to putting on some quality size (and gaining everything back that I’ve lost over the past few months due to being sick + chronic pain inhibiting my training ability)
I am really sorry to hear this unreal. You have a lot more going for you than you might see or want to admit. We see it.
The transition from teen to man can be a real motherfucking ride and some don’t make it.
I’m old as dirt but I have been around the block growing up in the 60-70’s. I hold 3 degrees and made enough money I could retire at 55 to never work for the man again. If you ever need some one to talk to, run an idea by or just get you out of a bad place I would be glad to help if I can. Know you have friends that care even if we live on the other side of the world.
Interestingly on my last set of bloods my CRP was elevated, I should probably look into that (see whether it’s simply due to sickness or potential an autoimmune issue, it’d actually somewhat make sense if I had rheumatoid arthritis (the fatigue, drop in haemoglobin, joint pain, joint stiffness etc)
You are welcome and I do mean it. I honestly have a tough time offering you advice on HRT because in my mind you know way more about this and your body than I do. All of my experience comes from testing on myself and thousands of dollars in blood tests to satisfy my desire for data.
I can do the math to launch a satellite into space have it track down a comet and collect stardust then return home but I know very little about the human body.
When you say you are always in pain can you elaborate on that?
This pain has nothing to do with our recreational use of our favorite hormones, right?
No, of course not. I’ve had chronic pain since about the age fo 14 (my earlier threads go into further detail). Pain has been of varying severity throughout my teenage years from mild annoyance to outright not wanting to get out of bed.
If anything the recreational use of hormones has helped tremendously. There are multiple facets as to why I have pain, benign joint hyper mobility results in undue stress and strain being constantly put upon my joints (and will more than likely end up with the development of premature onset osteoarthritis), fibromyalgia (diagnosed, however I feel as if it’s a diagnosis of exclusion on my part), screws in my left ankle (lead to burning and irritation esp when lots of movement is involved), widespread joint and muscle pain. Nandrolone (brief use) helped exponentially. I was close to trialling it again a while ago while I was flaring up but decided not to, I’m on the verge currently but due to the neurological effects of nandrolone I don’t think it’s a great idea. The use of hormones, if anything has strengthened muscles around joints of which I am most vulnerable regarding pain and injury. (should be noted I don’t have EDS, and upon examination both about 5 mths ago and as a child, echocardiogram, ECG and stress test has revealed a heart within normality regarding health and function. That being said after quitting I never came across withdrawal symptoms
The worst part is, I can easily get a script for morphine derived pain medication (typically milder variants with SSRI/SNRI properties such as tapentadol and tramadol), and I’m being advised to go back on the meds (I believe the first time I was ever put on said meds full time was a few weeks after I was put ono TRT). I used em for 3-6months 2x daily then quit cold turkey when I thought I didn’t need them anymore. The side effects are fairly horrendous, and opiates regarding rates of addiction don’t have a particularly great track record. I can also qualify for medicinal cannabis, which seems like a bad idea due to the small body of evidence suggesting cognitive deficits to develop after regular use. So there’s a bit of a crossroads at the moment
trial nandrolone
Go back on the pain meds for a while
medicinal cannabis
I’ve tried numerous conventional and holistic methods of treatment be it massage, chiropractor, physiotherapy, stretching etc. This is something I have to figure out for myself, giving up bodybuilding and gym isn’t an option for me.
On the subject of medicinal cannabis if you look closely to my avatar that is me at 21 standing next to one of my pot patches. Grown in the hills of the Great State of Tennessee. I also grew my own psilocybin mushrooms in the local cow fields next to my parents home in North Alabama. Super hot and humid in the summer perfect for fungi growing.
It would be worth trying the cannabis but I would cook it in brownies not smoke it. Its a completely different high and could really help on days you are depressed. Smoking usually turns me into a tacobell eating couch potato. That also could help if you have the right music or video game.
When you are in a good place and really want to organize your life pick your closest friend and give psilocybin a try. Do a micro dose for the first few times. It’s way stronger than benzos. In the US they offer trip therapy using psilocybin.
That’s awesome, I didn’t notice that’s what it was. I use cannabis recreationally (alcohol replacement), whilst being aware of the negative repercussions (not a heavy user). Doesn’t turn me into a vegetable like it doesn’t many others (unless I use a lot), def helps with pain, but otherwise makes me somewhat more sociable, very calm, sometimes very talkative. At higher doses I become very introspective. I always do it with friends (never alone), typically the scenario would be to chill out by a bonfire, listen to classic rock and/or slow paced metal (think led zeppelin, black sabbath, stoned Jesus, cage the elephant) and talk about random things, toast marshmallows etc
Psilocybin grows wild abundantly here, I’ve never tried it (though have been offered maaaaaaaaannny times). I figured id try it one day when I’m in Europe (providing like you said I’m in a good mental state), at the moment it’s not on my bucket list though
Entrahepatic metabolism of orally ingested cannabis leads to two separate peaks, thus if one takes a dose too high and has a bad time, they’ll peak twice, unsettling to think about. Then again Ive tried an edible once and was totally fine aside from the fact that I was hysterically giggling at everything anyone had to say and my legs felt like someone had strapped very large weights to them
Answer to you’re initial question, diuretic induced dehydration (and regular dehydration) Will temporarily further thicken blood and slow circulation, increasing the risk of clotting
As to the numerous grammatical errors in these posts, I’m using an old phone while my current phone is being replaced. This phone is incredibly slow and thus constantly feeezes while I type, adds in words or alters them
email incoming if you get a weird one from a video company. Might end up in your spam box. Just a heads up. Not to encourage you given your current feelings but at your age (19) I went to a 3 day outdoor bluegrass festival, in a place called HorsePens40 (http://hp40.com/), with a bag of freshly picked fungi. While staring into a mud puddle I saw my entire life. I could see what I was interested in doing with my life and what schooling i would need and where I was going to work. It was amazing it was like I had a desktop in my mind and this was 1972 before PC’s. I never forgot that plan and I pursuit it to the end.
For many years I was not allowed to do rec drugs do to my gov clearances. An now retired with rec Pot being legal in Colorado i tried it.Wasn’t the same. Way too strong and no fun at all.
Don’t worrying sir I’m not particularly easily impressionable, if I decide to use something it’s always on my terms rather than being influenced by peer pressure.
It should be noted even cannabis can have a detrimental neurological effect for many, especially those predisposed. The current body of evidence is weak, however I’ve seen a few completely lose touch with reality acutely from cannabis consumption alone. There’s the select few (such as myself), in which cannabis actually decreases my social anxiety drastically.
As to recreational cannabis, I tried some in Canada (from a dispensary) they have flower of differing strengths, THC% as low as 1-3 percent and as high as 32%. However different cannabinoids, terpene profile etc drastically changes how the compounds effects an individual. You can still get the chill stuff if you look for it
So I know you are on the side of our resident doc when it comes to AI’s like anastrozole. Looking at my latest bloods and knowing my high E2 symptoms are extreme ED and water retention. What would you suggest? I don’t want to drop my T dose. My HCT is finely in check at this lvl. My sweet spot for E2 is 27 and that was when my shgb was 29 it is 25 now so I have even more Free E2 floating around in my blood fucking me up. Your thoughts.
CBD can be somewhat sedating at high risk doses. However the unregulated market in many areas regarding cbd leads to cbd oil being produced that’s actually contains far more thc than the travel amt the label indicates. I will pick up from here later as this phone is frustratingly the hell put of me
