Hold This Thread While I Walk Away

You have a month to go. Plenty of time to get things set up perfectly.

No doubt Crippler…

Block 5

Forgot to log a few sessions. But I did DL over the weekend and hit my opener 545 pretty easily which gave me confidence…

Squatted yesterday

Wut - 425x2,1 Then wraps 455x1 fucking ugly stance too close feet were uneven, not to concerned being as I hit 465 for 2 singles somewhat easy last week.

Bench - Wut 325x1 Bicep meh, coming up unevenly
CGBP - 225x10

Assorted rows face pulls the ususal

Nice dead work and work load. You still have a lot of time to get those numbers even higher.

sniff sniff…

It smells like AWESOME in here!

Nice Matty,. That is a big dl opener. Is 600 the plan?

First thanks very much guys, and its great to see my Canadian ripped friend pop in!

Unfortunately read below

Well getting old sucks. I was supposed to compete this Sunday at the RPS Jersey Rumble meet and had eyes on a 52O squat and 600 pull but now have to back out as I tore my quad . Won’t know for sure if it’s torn but based on the bruising and swelling and the docs assertion it sure looks that way. Here is my opening squat from last Saturday, weight moved great I felt great then hours later the pain started to set in.

im at a loss, but Im as stubborn as a mule, Im hoping to be able to compete for July, if Im not healthy enoough then September, Im gonna run some smolov Jr bench cycles while I give my quad time to heal

BTW thats 2 tears in less then a year, last June I tore my bicep. I definitley am going to have to re-evaluate my training so I can avoid this.

Oh Matty, sorry to hear this. We will be praying that it heals quickly and you will be back to kicking ass soon.

Thanks very much fortunately these past 2 days I have seen marked improvement.

So since the injury I have been running smolov jr bench cycle, its the only thing I can really do. But yesterday I did some light good mornings which felt good

Yay Matty! This is good news.

Well… #$@^%#$!!!

Age sucks. Maybe it’s time to be a bodybuilder.

Whoa, whoa, whoa now…let’s not get crazy!

Of course, Matty does have the mass to pull it off.

Sorry Matty that really sucks. Hopefully it doesn’t turn out to be as bad as you first thought.

That squat was deep and moved fast.

its funny I train at a very BB centric gym, and im one of the few and proud PLers there. I have given it alot of thought lately, I was watching one of the IFBB pros that trains there who just won the NY Pro (Guy Cisterino) and his routine.

I have a lot of respect for Bodybuilders that compete and go on stage, but its just not me, I cant imagine myself doing it, I think I might be a powerlifter for life. Again this is no disrespect to BBers.

I actually did leg extensions and High rep Goblet squats 2 days ago, and other then some real fucked up DOMS, no worrisome pain. Im gonna attempt some light SSB squats today, next MRI next week, if all is ok, then I have eyes on the July 24, RPS Heatwave meet in Long Island.
