My neighborhood “lakes” have alligator warning signs in fact. Every now and then they come cruising in. It’s not uncommon to see one watching you from a water hazard at one of my favorite golf courses either.
Yeah I thought that you probably had them in east Texas at least.
They can be found all over the world really. Louisiana just gets credit for them.

They live in mud and swamps right?
fresh water in general. They’re on most continents.

That’s just 'cause we tend to eat them more often than other folks. They’re practically a part of the weekly diet.

Not really, there are quite a few in the lake right in front of my house, kind of rocky/sandy bottom.
We used to catch them by the bucketfull in the river by my cabin in Northern Michigan. It’s kind of creepy to go to the river at night and have thousands of eyes glowing in the lantern light from the rocks in the river.
If life fucks you over you are not supposed to get back up, bare your teeth, grab it by the balls and squeeze, getting laid on the way, you are supposed to roll over, find someone to blame and make a whiny thread in SAMA.

I might be in Baytown, TX in January on business. If so, Mr. AC can expect a visit from me. I will make it happen if I get down that way.
Awesome dude! I have an extra chair and see the attached pic of the pond we can fish in!

Here’s a closer view of the front. I’ve made some improvements since these pics were taken. I’ve added a “front porch” made from an old plastic skid - just something to wipe my boots on, and I’ve picked up most of the trash and dug a fire pit. I want to get one of those tri-pods so I can hang my dutch oven from it, but alas, with my busy work schedule my “home cooked meals” are what I can fry quickly in the pan over the propane camp stove. Buy a tripod? All you need is some rope and few sticks. You’re supposed to be roughing it. You don’t need no fancy shmancy tripod.

Wassap HolyMac! I joined a planet fitness the other day and thought of you (10 dollars a month so I can take a shower - it’s FIVE DOLLARS a shower at the truck stop! WTF?)

LMAO - dude, if I EVER start one of those threads, you have my permission to shoot me.
This is the place where I’ve been working. I can feel my balls dropping lower every time I walk in that place! LOL It’s got EVERY TOOL imaginable! An entire WALL dedicated to machine screws, nuts, washers and other hardware… I’m catching a woody just thinking about all the cool stuff I could build there!
