Dude. Thats got to be an adrenaline rush. I’ve been chased by German Shepherds, Bulls, and tigers( it was in a cage, but the feeling of being hunted is freaky). This is nuts.

Odd fact: While we are used to the idea of teeth being major sources of infection, it isn’t the case for all animals. Ferrets for example, I learned from my vet, have very clean teeth and mouths and ordinarily even birds bitten by ferrets generally get no infection (assuming that there was no major damage and the bird survives in the first place.) And birds have very poor resistance to infection.
So it is possible for an animal to not have infection-causing bacteria transferred by bites. Perhaps hippos are in that category of animal.
