Hillary vs. Carson?

Recent Iowa poll: Carson continues to drop. Cruz and Rubio on the rise (Cruz more than Rubio). That’s in Iowa, where I think Carson has the best chance. Looks like his time in the limelight is over.

Carson has somehow mixed up the USDA food pyramid - with what the Egyptian pyramids were for; hint one has grain within it, 1 does not.

Agree…

It’s now Trump, Cruz and Rubio.

Graham is out.

Carson and Fiorina are “essentially” out…it’s a matter of time.

Christie…hanging in there.

Who KNOWS with Jeb. Money can keep him on “Life Support” for quite some time, it seems. He’s “fighting back” against Trump; but he seems SO out of his element when he tries to get “tough” on Trump.

The IOWA and NH Primaries should give us a MUCH clearer picture.

Funny you would mention how out of his element that Jeb is when acting tough. I thought one of the most entertaining parts of the recent debate was when Jeb tried to sound tough and Trump said “Oh yeah Jeb you’re just so tough” and rolled his eye’s. The audience ate it up. Jeb is in dire straights and needs to understand this just is not his year.

Any predictions on who will win the Iowa and NH primaries Mufasa?

I will go out on a limb (as I usually do right or wrong) and predict Cruz will defeat Trump in Iowa and Rubio will win New Hampshire thus stopping the Trump momentum in its tracks…of course this could be just wishful thinking.

Your thoughts?

It does seem like Christie is making a comeback.

Cruz is leading (or at least was) in Iowa and it will be really interesting to see Trump’s reaction if Cruz wins. One of Trump’s big selling points is that he “wins” and is leading. If that doesn’t come true, it could derail fast. If he wins, it could snowball to continue his lead. We shall see.

If Cruz did win Iowa do you think some of Trump’s support would splinter off to Cruz? That would be a good thing. Voters, especially in the primaries are very fickle.

This is a tough one, Zeb.

If this was a “typical” election year…I would agree with you 100% on the Cruz and Rubio wins…but Trump makes this a FAR from typical year.

Even if one feels that Trump will not win in either IOWA or NH…AT THE VERY LEAST, he changes the dynamics of the race between Rubio and Cruz.

The far more interesting scenario is if Trump sweeps both States.

At that point, there is not much standing in his way in South Carolina, Super Tuesday, etc…and the Convention becomes one of the most interesting ones that we’ve seen in this Country in literally decades.

With that said…I do think Evangelicals put Cruz over the Top in IOWA…

If Trump takes Iowa and NH, which I think is very unlikely there won’t be much stopping him from virtually sweeping. But, the upper echelon of the republican party does not want him as their candidate for obvious reasons. So, if either Rubio or Cruz can make a decent fight of it I agree with you it will be a very interesting convention.
