High SHBG Lowers with High T. What Happens Later?

Hi guys,

It’s been proven that high SHBG lowers when slightly overloading the system with testosterone. My question is; what happen If I set my t levels back to normal?. Will the SHBG raise again?.

I wonder this after reading an interview where this guy used oxandrolone plus t to lower the SHBG “faster”. In that case would it make sense to make a real cycle with both components and then start the TRT strictly talking?.

Good saturday. I’m going to have a beer now (whatever)

The most common reason for high shbg is because you have low free androgens in the body.

Your body binds up as much test as possible but unfortunately its unusable.

When adding exogenous test, you’re increasing the androgens and thus free androgens in your body, resulting in a decrease in SHBG and an increase in free T.

However once those exogenous androgens leave your body upon cessation of testosterone, your SHBG will rise again simply because you’re back to having low free test again.

I would just simply start TRT.

The SHBG reduction effect is temporary while on Oxandrolone. It is significant in its ability to decrease SHBG levels, as I have used very low doses (around 5-10mg).
So, once you stop the Oxandrolone the SHBG will return to baseline.

I agree. Oxandrolone without exogenous Testosterone is a horrible idea because of both the reduction in endogenous Test w/simultaneous drop of SHBG.

More than likely everything will go back to how it was.
