What program are you referring to?

You can do that for any big lift. But for the bench press I’d preceded it with some heavy work since it doesn’t have the same negative impact as the deadlift on the CNS and the deadlift is fairly unique in that you do not really need much heavy work to gain strength on it.
May I suggest some sets of Military Press before Benching…
CT put it out there in some post that I recall; will help if you plan on high frequency ![]()
Thanks CT, what would the heavy bench work preceding involve? a ramp to a 3RM? would the percentage used for the 10sets of 2 reps etc. be 65% like the deadlift or be higher like the high frequency SGHP which I think is 70-80%?
@Voluminous : I’ve seen that before around the site alright and may try it in future. I’ve done high frequency front squatting and CT’s high frequency deadlift which are very good and am currently doing SGHP HF.
