High Estrogen- High Aromatization

Hello guys.
I’m in week 6 of test e only cycle.
I inject 250mg test-e every monday.

Before the cycle:
-Total test = 595 ng/dl
-estradiol E2 = 30 pg/ml

I got bloodwork done again 4 days ago (on cycle):
-Total testosterone = 1471 ng/ml
-estradiol E2= 178.59 pg/ml

I started taking arimidex 0.5mg/ eod

I will have bloodwork again done next week to see how i respond.

My question is if my estrogen get in the normal range should i continue arimidex?
Or maybe i don’t know if 0,5mg arimidex/ eod is too low for that high estrogen levels i have.

Your test levels are above normal range. Why would you expect your E to be in range. Do you have symptoms of high E?

If your E2 is in range after introducing the AI and you stop the AI, E2 will likely rise again.

It’s a given that if you run very high testosterone, the E2 will also be very high and is expected.

If you’re going to be using AI’s long term, it’s advisable to get a dexa scan periodically.

The symptoms i had was sensitive nipples and water retention.
Isnt 178 E2 too high ? I think i have to lower it until 70.
About 5% of my test. Isnt that correct ?

Split this up into two shots, probably won’t need the AI at all

As @swoops39 mentioned you could try splitting your dose to 2x per week. That may help. My E is high but I have no symptoms so i leave it alone. I think symptoms/side effects are more important than numbers as they are not the same for everyone.

Reconsider lowering this by a lot. You don’t need to nuke your E2. If your symptoms are bothersome try quartering the tabs and dosing that way.

If you get your E2 too low, your life will suck; possible joint pain, headaches, and problems with erections just to name a few.
I have always had E2 issues, years ago my E2 was 150, my ankles were swollen and I wanted to cry at TV commercials…the last time I tested T and E2, T was 1100 and E2 was 8. Yes, 8 and life sucked.
I was on 200mg a week of T Cyp, and 1mg/week of adex at the time.
I have lowered my adex to 0.5 mg/week and am over due for a blood test.
