Warning: All those who are afraid to lose their abs should go away.
Alright, fellas. I’m bulking. I like calories. I like protein. Today, I ate a Hungry Man Fried Boneless Chicken with potatoes. It had a whopping 1000 calories and 60 grams of protein. This led me to this thread-
Anyone can join in. List your sources for a high calorie+protein (at least 40 grams of protein) source. It doesn’t have to be “healthy” (e.g. Hungry Man isn’t exactly “healthy”). After listing the source, list the amount of calories and protein it has.
kroger has some low-fat low-carb yogurt called carb master. get you 4 of those (like .40 each). they each have 12 grams of protein.
THEN get some Skippy Natural crunchy peanut butter. pour out the oil and scoop out a ton of it into a bowl. nuke it till hot.
still following? lol
Then eat the hot PB with cold vanilla yogurt. fucking delicious.
so lets see here:
48 g protein + 320cal (yogurt)
+
AT LEAST 18g protein + 600cal (PB)
= 66g protein & ~920cal
Red meat-75+ grams worth each meal
Olive oil-about 120 calories per tablespoon
protein shakes- 80 or so grams a shake
more red meat
almonds- 2 oz is about 340 calories
some chicken-75+ grams per meal
and then more red meat
That’s where most of my calories and protein comes from in a given day.
Edit: I forgot calories and protein. That’s the most counting I’ve done in months. I count protein and let the scale/mirror tell me if I’m eating enough of everything else.
The eggs + PB recipe from the aptly named thread kicks some major ass. 6 jumbo eggs with 6tbsp of PB is 1200 cals and 75g protein.
PWO I like to mix 4 scoops of protein with 1 can of frozen, condensed 100% fruit juice. This is pretty much straight sugar and protein (you’ll also crash in about 30 minutes and nap quite nicely). Cals = 1150. Protein = 100g.
Search for my “Peanut Butter Fluff” recipe.
Instead of fast food I like to by rotisserie chickens from Walmart. I don’t know how many cals/protein, but it’s a whole 2+lb chicken ready to eat.
6tbs of peanut butter 3 scoops of choclate protein powder, and about 6tbs heavy cream …stir all together in a bowl…makes an awesome pudding…if the powder is still a little dry, add a bit of water or cream.
~1300 Calories
~75g protein
~80g fat
Your exact number will obviously depend on the brand of everything.
Peanut butter+banana+Honey sandwhiches are a good one too.
oh and hotdogs-Cut up like 5 and scramble them with eggs and pepperoni and cheese…you won’t regret it.
Trust me this is delicious…sub in milk for the cream (about 1/3 cup milk) if you wanna cut it down some.
I like out of control portions of natural peanut or almond butter to go on top of enormous apples.
A really good way to “stack” protein into that, is to whip up a protein pudding with the natural peanut butter, add a little milk or water, and protein powder of choice. Add that on top of the apple as you eat it, and it’s incredible.
Fiber, good fat, protein, taste, complex carbs. Good pre or post workout.
When I’m trying to get the food down, I still think about ‘health’ qualities, but I’m mostly concerned with ease of eating/preparing. Tasting good helps, but mostly I hate dislocating my jaw trying to put down chicken breast or whatever.
My gourmet recepies:
Plain Ground Beef:
Cook medium rare in patties. Eat with ketchup or mustard.
Peanut Butter Spoon w/ Milk:
Get good (natural) PB, spoon into mouth. Chase with milk. Whole has more calories, but fat free tastes like water for ease of drinking.
Scrambled eggs:
Place eggs in shallow bowl. Stir. Microwave until firm. (some microwaves make them explode, you can cover with a paper towel) Add hot sauce to taste.
Tuna Can: Buy the cheap kind. (non-albacore.) It has the consistency and taste of cat food. You can pound a can containing >30g protein in a couple bites. Add hot sauce to taste. Don’t overdo this one, it’s been said that the mercury will melt your brain. I go with a can a day.
Store Bought:
Tyson whole-grain chicken nuggets:
(the dinosaur shapes are most anabolic) Chicken nuggets are usually a good bet, these make me feel like I’m not a fat slobbecause they’re breaded with whole grain and it must be good for me!
String Cheese:
The energy expended eating/calories ratio is minimal. Basically conveniently pre-packaged cheese.
I wish I was kidding about some of this. Really though, some of the suggestions in the thread are getting a lot of calories from simple sugars. I haven’t posted any award winning recipies, I just try to get protein and fat the easiest way possible. Starch and sugar is easy to find. Just my 2 cents.

How exactly do you combine the PB and yogurt? Pour the yogurt on top? Mix?
If you are a big dairy guy, you can dilute the yogurt with milk for drinkable yogurt. I’ve seen the same thing done with juice, which I personally usually avoid.

What type of protein powder are you using?.. I don’t think my cookies n cream would taste too good with 100% grape juice
I love that shit, I go to the local grocery chain called Hilander and pick up a cooked chicken. Get home and completely consume it, the meat’s always so tender it basically just melts in your mouth.
