It’s garbage because you assume that gays won’t have kids and the human race will go extinct. Gays can and do have kids. Your hypothetical is poorly thought out garbage.
It also is stuck boiling down to ‘I will not give the many exceptions I give straight people to create a legal union to gay people because they don’t have the ability to biologically reproduce with one another’
His criteria for martial status, if applied to any 2 adults, is solely reliant on whether or not they’re gay. Really poorly hidden behind ‘continuing the species’
What is the gay population and what percent do you actually imagine would be step up to be breeders? You think the already small minority of homosexuals would convert to heterosexuality in great enough numbers (how) and have enough children to be even a fraction of replacement rate? Not a chance. Not even remotely. This isn’t a counter-argument.
Because the thousands of years humans existed before marriage was a concept were spent not reproducing. The intent was more about business than procreation.
