I forgot to mention. When I first started using Surge I did not like it and it made me feel like I was going to vomit.
It was a little better each time and by the fifth time I tolerated it. Not long after that I started to love it. You may just need time to acclimate to the nastiness of the hydrolysate.

After chocolate came out, I’ve been ordering only chocolate. The only thing that bothers me about it is that it tends to be really foamy when you shake it.
However, since I’ve tried adding SuperFood to it, I’ve noticed that it foams a lot less. Also, I like the flavor SuperFood adds to the Chocolate Surge. It’s very enjoyable after a workout.
I had the same problem when I first started using Surge. As someone already stated, you get used to the taste and actually start to like it. My two best tips for Surge:
ICE. Use lots of ice, if it’s not ice cold, it’s not good.
Experiment with the ratio of water to surge to find your preferred taste strength. I like around 24oz of water for 3 scoops.

I make my own version of Surge, because I’m a cheap bastard and weigh enough i go through a tub in about a week, and I’ve tried Surge; trust me, Surge tastes better than if you piece it together. Even if you used sugar free fruit punch and splenda or whatever to make it taste better; it’s just impossible to hide the horribly bitter taste of hydrolysate. But the funny thing is, in the pursuit of hugeness, I just don’t give a shit what it tastes like…
as for taming the sweetness, I’d say mix it with milk, but I’d be afraid of messing up the chemical wizardy that is Surge…
Just dilute it down with more water, plug your nose, oh and also you can try adding some Grow! Whey to it, that kinda mellows the flavor out and makes it a bit creamier. I try to use a scoop of hydrolysate and Grow! Whey with the rest of the stuff that’s in my magic, post-workout shake and it’s not as bad as two scoops of hydrolysate.
Is it the vanilla? I tried that and hated it because it didn’t really taste like vanilla to me. Try the raspberry. It is delicious, although it is still really sweet.
Chocolate Surge is where its at. You can’t expect a PWS loaded with simple sugar to not be sweet haha.
I add Superfood and find that it tastes like Chocolate-Berry awesomeness.
The Superfood added is awesome! I love that in my morning Grow! with some heavy whipping cream!
