Help with First Cutting Diet

Hi,

I am currently starting my first cut ever and would really appreciate some input on my diet. In the last 3 years I went from 135lbs at 17 at 6â??2 to 240 lbs (almost 20 now) again at 6â??2

Bodyfat: 15% I believe, not sure on this one(top 4 abs are clearly visible) goal is about 220 which according to my calculation would get me to 10%. Please do correct me if Iâ??m wrong.

Lifts;
Bench 315 X 2
Dl 405 X 5
Squat 315 (ATG) x 3
Chin ups BW+80lbs X 3
Bent over row 315 X 5

According to my calculations maintenance should be about 3400 calories.

Diet:

Meal 1: 12 egg whites, 1 whole egg, 250g fruit, 5 g fish oil

Meal 2: 250g 1% cottage cheese, 250g fruit, 1 scoop whey

Meal 3 250g chicken breast or salmon , 200g vegetables, 5g fish oil

Meal 4 300g chicken breast or salmon , 200g vegetables

Meal 5 250g chicken breast, or salmon 200 g vegetables

Post workout (if applicable): 50g vitargo, 50g whey, 5 g CEE

Meal 6: 250g cottage cheese, 5 g fish oil

Without PWO shake according to fitday.com this is approx 2800 cals.

355g protein , Fat 85, Carbs 120

This should allow me to loose about 20 pounds over the next 12 weeks.

Workout:
2 days on 1 day off
Day 1; Chest, Back, Lats, Biceps
Day 2: Legs, Shoulders, Triceps

On off days:
Either Sprints, bodyweight complex or jump rope HIIT

I might supplement with some Leucine or BCAA 15g spread out over the day? Is this a good idea to prevent muscle loss?

What do you think?

Thank you very much in advance

85 views and no reply? A simple “it sucks” or “it’s fine” would suffice.
I’d just like to know whether I am doing it completely wrong or not? I have absolutely no experience in cutting and would love to now whether I’ve come up with a decent plan?

Thanks in advance

It’s fine.

I lost 7 pounds in the first three days, this is worrying me? Or is this because of my way lower carb intake than usually or due to loss of water weight or something? What can be the reasons for this? Or am I consuming too little calories?

Don’t fret mate. Yes it’s probably water weight like you said, and if not, it could only be fat or muscle, and a small amount of either. Someone saying ‘that was some muscle you lost there’ or whatever isn’t going to help you at all. After all, you are taking in 2800 cals, which is hardly drastic starvation calories

EDIT: to be clear, i think those calories are fine to be starting off with, just be ready to adjust things if you hit a plateau

Thank you for the heads up. I’m just completely new to this. I am used to eating tons of food. So if I hit a plateau, do I then gradually lower calories. 100 less at a time or what is the principle idea?

Thanks
