Help Wanted

kpsnap - It felt real light and I was moving all over the place. The next set was where the injury occurred and had I watched this video prior I might have buckled down on the form and not got injuried. Well its been a slow recovery and I’m sure it will be forgotten. I’ve been over to your log but never commented , but nice lifting.

Workout
Mili 135x10 155x10
Z press with DB’s 70’s 5X5
BP 155X10 195X6 235X5 255X5 275 3,3,3,3
Curls Wide narrow wide
DB hammer curls
Dips BW+40 5,5,5,5
ran 1 mile with 40# pack then ran 1 mile no pack
Back still painful mobility sucks, I mite as well work on upper body seeing how my core is going to $%$#&^

yesterday squats 100# x100
OH squats 100 3x6
Back complaining stopped there rather than tweek more.

Today decided to do some benching outside , moved the weights out for the season afterward worked up to easy 305x3 stopped with plenty left(some days you feel great) also had meetings to goto would have loved to do a full workout.

I’ve always liked the idea of lifting outside after seeing b&w film of Paul Anderson doing stuff with weights hanging from trees.

Unfortunately, living in wet Wales my weights would rust away within afew weeks!

I feel it adds to the difficulty, rain shine or snow in some cases, its good for you on a basic level. probably the cave man that remains in us. I do know on cold days I do get a hunters reflex, its just cool man.

I have managed to hurt myself squatting AND deadlifting, but then again I’m just unusually gifted. And for what it’s worth, the back injury from deadlifts came as a result of shooting my hips up early…

just sayin.

welcome aboard.

I see a pattern developing, wish I would have seen it earlier. I am back to about 40% now and hoping to realy start lifting squats in about 3-4 weeks, tried to start back way to early.

Wow another 3-4 weeks? that must have been a proper injury, did you injure a disc?, have you had it checked out by an expert?

Hey Brett, I have a Hx of disc problems that started a couple years ago with a accident during training (big guy fell on me), left me with three herniated discs. Had a MRI at that point , Doc told me never to lift again give up my career and Blah Blah Blah,( mites as well go to take a dirt nap now). I thanked her for the opinion, started a very slow rehab and took a oath never to stop fighting and lifting until I die. And gave up going to Doctors that was 5 years ago. Yah I now BA but I still go when needed I just do it my way. In the realm of back injuries it was minor just needs to be paid attention to I’m not whinning.NEVER NEVER GIVE UP!!!

Thanks for the concern Brett.Just went of a little. I’m done now.

Would someone please explain how anyone can put the phrases “405 squat” and “legs are definitely weak” in the same sentence?

Cav - strike weak and replace with wobbly and out of control. Don’t get me wrong I was happy to hit 405 after the layoff.

Workout -Strike workout and replace with slackers day off, it warmed up to 70 today and just wanted to get out in the sun, came back late and had no interest in lifting but did squats 135x10 175x10 225x10 285x10 315x6,6,6,6 and said time to veg out and have a brew. still sore from the tabata.

Cleans and snatches must have been tough after farmer’s walks.

Glad the pain seems to have gone.
