I now think sounds like girly, but for sum reason i cant swallow a pill with just water i haev t have sume kind of applesauce or sumtin to get it down. That said I was reading how you should take BCAA during your workout, but i cant swallow pills and the powders even the flavored ones like xtend dont taste good. I dont really want to take sumtin during mny workout that tastes bad. What should I do?
Personally, i’d get over it. Avoid the hassle of getting around swallowing the pills and just get used to it… it will benefit you in the long run. I had trouble swallowing a bunch of stuff in the morning, but after you make yourself do it for a few weeks, you get used to it and it gets easier.
Just think about how important your goals are to you and if you can’t swallow a few lousy pills for them, then good luck to you.
there’s no real way to avoid swallowing a pill. when I was a wee lil’ kid, I used to chop up a pill and eat it with pudding or jelly or something. then one day I took a cup of water, a pill, and swagged it.
maybe take one pill at a time, or the same type of pill at the same time? just drink copious amounts of liquid.
just man up and swallow them.
I’m drinking a protein shake with 15g of pure BCAA powder and 2% milk right now… and god it still tastes horrible.

My little brother got me a gift certificate to GNC for christmas, so I bought ON’s BCAA powder. The other day at the gym, I had put 15g in a water bottle and had to slam chugs at a time. I think I finished it in 3 “sips.”
Shit’s AWFUL. Even today I mixed it with gatorade powder for some sugar while I was working out and still wanted to vomit after each sip.
I will be forever thankful Biotest makes BCAA pills haa.
I mix 30grams powder in a shaker with some crystal light to mask the taste. I almost threw up when I first started taking it but the results I got were fantastic! Later someone at the gym told me to mix in some crystal light. Great suggestion. It totally masks that wretched taste.
Second the crystal lite recommendation. I use ON’s powder when its convenient(Save Biotest pills for when i dont want to lug water around) and you cant even taste it(10g/1 pint). Recommend the fruit punch flavor.
I freakin hate BCAA powder with a passion. I try to pill them in a pill kit I have and its such a pain in the ass. Messy as hell too.
As for having trouble taking pills… I used to have alot of trouble with pills when I was a kid. I was downright scared of them. A lady once told me that when I took the pill instead of trying to tilt my head up to swallow the pill to do the opposite and tilt it down. It always seemed to do the trick with a sip of water and it went right down everytime. Now i can put about 10 pills in my mouth and do this no problem. Hopefully this helps!
