3rd and final round
this one was my favorite, i scored a good 8 punches combination that ended with a knee.
Almost got a guillotine and used my rubber guard
btw, i gassed on the first round =)

Hmm I’d like to say something in round 2 excited me but while your opponents wild punch at 11 seconds and your subsequent kick at 11 seconds both connected (I think anyways, bad angle) neither were tight or well orchestrated and a more experienced fighter would not be hit by something like that. At 1:57 it looks like he actually swung his arm backwards across your face with his elbow completely extended. Not a smart move at all.
Round 3 was a bit hard to see on the video but looked a bit better on the ground part. You seemed to have that under control. Those opening punches that connected were completely random and wild in my opinion. I guess they worked though.
Good fight.
the 3rd round didn’t uploaded completely on youtube yet. When it’s done you will have the option to watch it on 480p instead of 360p
Good shit…when’s your next one?
Actually, i’ve just talked to my opponent and agreed to make the rematch as our first fight as a pro.
I’ll be moving to japan to study and train for like 1 year.
When i come back i will be much better and i get down to 185lbs to fight with him.
Now i’m back to weightlifting this week, i’m very happy to get back to my deadlift and squat. I still think my infraspinatus is messed up so probably i’ll take it easy on the bench and press.
I’ll be moving my weightlifting log to T-Nation this week.
kaiser…you need some serious work in many areas(as WE all do)…but congrats on getting in there.
Would you care to be a bit more specific? i know i gassed in the first round so that fight isn’t any technique show

Hmm…I can’t really say…as most of your problems could be pinpointed to conditioning and just a lack of experience(your first fight, right?).
Wild punches…rushing in with chin up…lack of composure. Things that can be fixed easily…granted you give the time and effort to fix them.
Thanks bro, i really appreciate your input.
Next fight i promise i won’t gas on the first round, maybe on the second ![]()

I like this pic from the fight

Fixed that for ya. You should really start working on that…and I’m not being a dick,I just think with your body type you could put an effort to fight at 185lbs…hell or even 170.

i will have a whole year on japan to train and get bigger.

Get bigger!? How tall are you??
That was a fun fight to watch!
I recommend dropping bodyfat then work on just getting stronger.
a lot of your technique flies out the window once you’re fighting and you resort back to just straight reptilian brain. So basically you just need more fights to be comfortable before we see what you can REALLY do. Great job though especially for just 3 weeks of real prep
Wow I thought you were bullshitting, props for getting in there.

Yeah, i mean my strategy was to keep my distance and work straight punches and footwork to avoid the takedowns and a straight-up brawl.
But i gassed and i couldn’t even think anymore, i just punched and hoped that the guy would fall sometime.
Actually i’ve talked to him after the fight and he told me that if i pressed more on the guillotine he would have taped =)
Man with your body you were avoiding a takedown? You had some serious pounds on the guy I would’ve gone straight for the take down. Especially when you earlier said you train Karate, Jiujitsu, and Wrestling… seems like you’re trying to hard to be the “Muay Thai” average MMA guy and should focus more on the strengths. Karate, Jiujitsu, and Wrestling are all by fight standards close range. Now you’re going to Japan?
My advice is master something before jumping around so much. You just hired a JJ coach and GPP trainer and now you’re leaving both to go to Japan? It just doesn’t seem logical to me. Especially when I then hear you say things like you were avoiding going to the ground with someone smaller than you.
Care to explain any of the rational behind this? Are you going to Japan to learn Judo or what do you expect to gain from it?
