Hey everyone I have been reading this forum for about 8 months(very informative) and finally have a qustion. I am looking for an MD in the tri-state area for HRT? I have talked to my doctor about my low T annd I am not comfortable with his knowledge on the subject. I would like to find someone reputable, safe and trustworthy(if possible) to review a course of action. Any help would be appreaciated. If there is any info from me that would help feel free to ask.
thanks in advance
I am 35. My problem with low T has slowly crept up on me.It started about 2 years ago that I noticed but, I thought it was stress because I went back to college after 11 yrs. After a while I started to worry about how I was feeling and NOT feeling. I started doing research on the subjet and have found my way here. I am just worried about finding an MD that knows what the hell their doing. I work at a hospital and MD’s worry me
I was tested about 3 months ago. My total T was around 250. My MD then said not very persuasive I could give you test in a gel or shot but try viagra first

Sounds like your doctor is concerned more with a particular potential issue instead of the general detrimental effects of low T. From the sounds of it I would agree with you.
What you probably need to do is find one of those “enlightened” doctors out there that looks at things from a different perspective. I believe the LEF will recommend forward thinking doctors in various specialties if you ask them to.
My doctor was similar. He said he didn’t believe in HRT, it was all a scheme by drug companies to increase profits, I was not overly impressed. Unfortunately, unless I want to go the same route your doctor seems to be focusing on, I’m unlikely to be referred to anyone else who will consider HRT.
