HELP!!! My Estradiol is 84.6

Hey guys ive been following this site for a long time but this is my first post. im hoping all the wise men on this site can help me out. I am 23 and have recently been diagnosed with low testosterone. I take T-Cypionate 160mg injections. I take 80mg on monday and 80mg on thursday. I got my bloodwork back and it is as follows.

Total T = 830 nd/dl range = 280-800
Free T = 30.2 nd/dl range 9.3-26.5
estradiol = 84.6 pg/ml range 7.6-42.6

The doctor gave me a prescription for arimidex @ 1mg per week. I was thinking since my estradiol is so high i might need to take 1.5mg a week. What do you guys think?

P.S. labs performed by LabCorp

I agree. The 1.0,g/week dose is often good for someone with a body weight of around 160 pounds. The dose can be scaled up by body weight relative to 160 pounds and also perhaps more when body fat levels are higher.

However, start with 1.0mg/week and dose EOD. Making doses right with tablets is very difficult. You can try 0.5mg every 3rd day [E3D], for 1.16 mg/week. Do not increase your dose higher until it is evident that you are not an anastrozole over-responder. I never recommend front loading now as it is clear that over-responders are not rare.

Liquid anastrozole allows for precise E2 modulation. A few have dissolves Arimidex tabs in vodka.

If you get near E2=22pg/ml, your FT should increase. You are going to find that life is a lot different.

We need to understand why your E2 is so high, see PM.

His E2 is high because his T is high.

three years ago i was 180 pounds. I was taking adderall and it started to really mess me up BAD. Ever since then i have lived at doctors offices. For two years the doctors thought i was Bi-Polar. They put me on all kinda of meds that kinda helped but never really solved the problem. Eventually i got fed up and decided to go see a urologist about testosterone. He did some blood work and it came back low, 349ng/dl on a range of 300 - 1200. Keep in mind i was 22 years old at the time.

After adderall messed me up, my weight went from 180-298. Now im at 275. I ahve never gained weight that fast in my life. I suffered from anxiety, depression, fatigue, poor erections. TRT has alleviated all those problems and i feel healthy and good. However i am on a quest to optomize my hormone levels. i know that excess fat creates aramatase, which converts T into E. You guys should know that i store fat kinda like a woman. Upper arms, belly, butt, and thighs. I am woundering maybe that is because i suffered from high E2 and low T my entire life. THE MAIN POINT of all this typing is, how do i get my Estradiol down from its current level of 84.6.

Also, what does it feel like when your E2 is close to the magical 22 pg/ml. Can you guys describe how you guys feel so i can compare to the way i feel now.

Reduce the amount of test you are taking and the E2 will most likely follow. You know your T is at a supraphysiological level. If you are trying to optimize hormone levels, why ignore this but concern over E2?

My experience with E2 levels is that I feel a little better with levels that are a little higher closer to theh upper-twenties range. Everyone is different.

i thought it was good to be in the upper ranges of the testosterone range. What do you think is a good range to be at for a 22 year old.

Do you guys think i should reduce the amount of testosterone i take. Also, i have been given a persciption for arimidex. 1mg per week. Seeing as how my E2 is soooooooooo high i am going to take 1.5mg a week. what do you guys think about this protocol.

Lowering your dose of T will lower E, but not to the extent that you want most likely. You will still need an AI. Are you taking HCG as well? You should be, but be aware that this will most likely play a factor in increased estrogens as well, so you would have to increase your dose of AI accordingly.

In my experience, getting estrogen dialed in is the hardest part. It will probably take quite a bit of initial testing and adjusting. Many are over-responders to arimidex. In my experience, it was easier to to lower my E gradually by taking a low amount of arimidex and adjusting every two or three weeks to get my levels where they need to be than it was to take too much and attempt to back off when symptoms of low E were present. It’s very easy to bottom out your levels of E and, based on your symptoms, feel like you are still too high. Testing frequently can avoid this.

do you think for a guy my size, (270 lbs, 6 feet tall, all fat), that 1.5mg of arimidex is too much. My E2 is 84 so im thinking that bc im fat and its soo high that i will need more than the average guy to bring it down.

I can not afford alot of testing bc i dont have insurance. So im trying to ballpark the dosage so that i dont have to waste time and money. I am afraid to take only 1mg per week and then see the doctor in 6 months (the next time i see him is in july), and have him tell me that it is still to high.

Also, i dont take HCG

If I were you, I would take 1mg a week (in divided doses) for two months, and then get blood work done. Since it takes approx. 2 weeks for adex levels to stabilize, testing at one month with numbers as high as yours would be a waste of money in my opinion. Do you know about LEF.org? Their blood tests are very cheap compared to the average lab, and their results are dependable.

I would not lower T dose! T should be high at your age. When you get E lower, the higher T levels should drive fat loss. You need some training to increase muscle mass which will help burn calories.

If the 1.5mg/week does not make you feel off mentally, that will be fine until you get lab work for serum E2.

Labcorp: I hope that we are not chasing bogus lab results.

what are the signs / symptoms of low estrogen. I would like to know what to look for during the first couple of months while i take my 1.5mg/week of arimidex. My mood is great. I feel more stable. My face has shrunk (no more water retention). However, i have noticed that my erections are not as strong as they used to be and that my morning wood is hit or miss. Can anyone explain this too me? I dont think its possible that my E2 has dropped too low. Ive only been on arimidex for 2 weeks and i started out with a e2 level of 84.6

We still have the possibility that the E2=85 is bogus.

Low E2: -can be some degree of

joint aches
social withdrawal
depression
lethargy
loss of libido

Scaling the typical 1.0mg dose by body weight suggests that 1.5 mg/wk would be fine.

Morning would and libido should start to show good progress after 10-14 days on adex. So wait.

Some of the early results of TRT are transient and can be expected to decrease.

How long on what dose of adex so far?

jan-11th i started .25mg EOD, then on January 20th (after i found out that my E2 was 84.6) i increased the dose to .5mg Monday, Wednesday, Friday.

You have to run with that for a while to see where that is heading.

is it possible that the E2 test was bad? KSman, your a genius, i just wanna say thanks for helping a young guy out. I appreciate your advice. Its because of people like you that make this site worth its weight in gold.

Not to hijack the thread but what kind of test(lab) for E2 should one consider valid? I think I remember to ask for the ultra sensitive assay as some tests are not accurate in the lower ranges…what labs should be considered reputable?

BigZeus your more than welcome to hijack the thread. We are all here to learn man. You asked a good question. Maybe i should ask for a ultra sensitive test as well.
