Holy shit, how large are you if you can lift 260kg? my 1rm is probably around 190. Theoretically I should be able to lift 200kg for 1, however the calculations one puts in don’t always correlate to real life. That and I never give myself enough time to recover between training sessions as I like to deadlift 2x/wk, sometimes 3x/wk.
Perhaps I’ll give myself a week off and see what I can accomplish… but on the other hand, I’m going to be in Europe starting tomorrow behaving like a moron and eating badly (did someone say… extremely budgeted fast food meals?)… so I’ll probably lose a good deal of strength
Losing mass is unlikely on very high end TRT (so say maintaining around 1300ng/dl), I WILL probably lose strength and gain a ton of fat though as I do have to fight like hell to keep fat off,
NVM you said 200kg, is this a 1rm of for repz
I’ll get some chalk when I can afford anything as my Europe trip has induced a condition called flatbrokatitis
200kg for a few reps, no where near pulling 260kg yet I’m afraid. although I don’t care much for strength, just want to give off the illusion that I’m a strong mofo.
I can pull 260 kg without straps, but I could not pull it with straps. Straps screw up my positioning and brace too much.
Straps help some a bunch. If that is that case, usually grip work will help. Use chalk. If you want to deadlift for the next decade, I suggest learning hook grip.
I am on TRT. I have gotten a bunch stronger on TRT as my levels have allowed me to get stronger. I don’t really consider TRT natty. Neither does really any powerlifting federation.
I am planning on starting 300 mg a week really soon to allow better recovery and some extra muscle for a meet in February. I just need to source the test.
Just turned 32. Been lifting for strength for just over 3 years. It takes a bunch of time. I used to think I would never get to the numbers I am at now.
that happens quite often around these parts, sorry I can’t be of help man.
yeah I know what you mean @mnben87, especially training that way is going to help. what is your squat and bench like? I’ve never really been interested in strength training per se because it doesn’t neccesarily correlate in looking aesthetic. I’m one of the stronger guys in my gym and that suits me just fine.
Best squat is 490, and best bench is 330. I think I have a bunch more on the bench likely 350 or a bit more. Want to go something like 525, 350, 600 in February in wraps.
