No, that is the “they deserve each other” position.

I wish they would stop drawing the world into their petty squabbles.

I wish the US would stay out of it.

I wish the pox on both their houses and I hope there is a very special place in hell for ultra orthodox Jewish settlers and Palestinian who blow up public buses.

“Cant we just all get along” might not be the most innovative political programm, but when you share a country the size of a postage stamp it would be a decent start.

For sheer dogged determination to survive a consistent cordinated effort to abuse and destroy them, the Jews deserve a least one place of peace that they can call their own, and why should that place not be their historic homeland - inhabited by Jews since their father Abraham ilved in that land?

Seriously - as a great big global - “We’re really sorry we’ve treated you worse than crap for the last 4,000 years”
Yeah well, being absolved of your real or imaginary sins at someone elses expense should raise a red flag right there.

Absolution rarely comes that cheap.

And zooooommm - the point goes right by you . . .

No, it doesnt.

Yes, Jews had it hard.

They are dead now.

The Jews alive today do not have it remotely as hard and you wish to make others suffer to right wrongs that are beyond fixing.

If you feel that “the Jews” deserve anything, pay for it out of your own pocket, not out of the pocket of a Palestinian.

I dunno?

Where did you find that in my post?

Figure of speech.

They pay for it, not necessarily money wise.

Growing up in POS houses, having their POS houses bulldozed, being randomly cut off from their POS jobs, almost no opportunities to get an education, no chance to get their land back that was bought fair and square by their fathers and grandfathersm, but, you know what, if you feel guilty, just swap places with them, if they have it so great that should be no problem.

uh, from what I understand, the formation of Israel didn’t confiscate any land. And the problems you are talking about happened as a response to attacks on Israel. Wasn’t the west bank and all originally left alone by Israel? It’s mere existence didn’t cause this hardships.

I don’t see what she said as being anything bad. The Jews largely left their promised land after being oppressed numerous times and then decided to come back to it. They were told to fuck off. They then used force to get themselves into the area and in control of it. What is wrong with wanting to use force to get them the fuck out?

Plus whether they have a right to the land or not why stay in it if everyone hates you? You’d be doing your future generations a favor by leaving and settling in a region less likely to be wiped off the map at some point.
study history dumbass.
The way my history was told agrees with nothingclever. even after the holocaust the Jews could not return to Europe . The Poles and Germans and such had moved into their houses , took over their businessse . The ones that did return and tried to claim their property were killed , it was refered to as the secound holocaust . So they all went back to the middle east.

Maybe I should leave Redford Township and go back to Livonia =]

You should go read the short story “glass apples” by Niel Gaiman. I won’t ruin it by telling you what it’s about, but it’s a similar theme on a fairy tail. It’s a good story written by my favorite story teller.

It seems that the majority of posters here see any criticism of Israel as being anti semetic . Kind of reminds me of the people that say some else is playing the race card . I hve to say if Ms.Thomas is not in fact correct , she is at least entitled to her opinion .

The Right , meanning Beck and Limpdick are always saying off color comments and this board is always saying that the left is being politically correct. I think the right is being politicaly correct

She said Jews need to “go home”. She singled out a race. Then she used factually wrong propaganda to incite hate against them blaming them for the middle east’s problems. I don’t like beck or rush, but they have done nothing of the sort.

You are entiled to do what ever you want , I think it a little hypocritical to make such a big deal of it. Israel has a lot of influence in our Gov. that is why she lost her job. I don’t feel bad for Ms. Thomas , she is 90 years old ,she should retire. I hope she has a good rest of her life
