OMG HELLO!! I am so totally going to be reading about you in powerlifting USA magazine now!! I TOLD U I TOLD U I TOLD U!!!
I’m 90% sure he hasn’t died yet (well unless he decided to do a squat goodmorning combo with his best meet squat this week…), and is just ignoring his log.
Hey, Storm, do you have any tips for knees caving in? My left knee caves in whenever I squat with a stance about two-three+ inches per side outside of shoulder width with any weight at about 60+% of my max. I don’t think it’s because my glutes are weak, and I hear/feel a popping sound from somewhere near my hip whenever I try to rest my left leg on my right when sitting. Thanks ahead of time if you answer :).

LOL on the flirty girl workouts!
That 500m at 1:30 is no joke! What kind of rower are you on?
When I was at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado back in 95 one of the standards for us to be considered “fit” enough to get on the mat was 3 rounds of 400m rows on a concept 2 air dyne rower at under 1:30 each time with a 1 minute break in between.
On your Quad Tear: does it hurt more on the stretch or on the Flexion ? You wrapping it tightly when doing your rehab?
I don’t know why I am asking these questions you are pretty dialed on on your training so you should have your rehab covered as well.
I just think your one of the good posters on here and I read your stuff in the powerlifting forums and say to myself “Yep, he gets it!”
So much respect to you.

What you posted about the fitness tests made me throw up in my mouth. Those numbers are insane.
My quad is doing much better now. But, yes, flexion was where I was having most of my problems. The eccentric portion of the squat was giving me the most issues.
Some of the stuff I was doing for rehab was wrapping the whole area in a voodoo band and doing sets of 10 on BW squats then doing 100 air knee extensions during the rest. Also, I was hitting it with a scraping tool regularly and slathering it in liquid tiger balm a couple times a day. Luckily, it healed up enough to not explode on squats and pull through a new DL pr.
Thanks for reading. Shoot me questions whenever you want. I’m more than happy to help.

Thanks man. I was thoroughly expecting to die in a Russian prison over there. At least I know my words will live on long after a heavy barbell has crushed me to death.

You were right! I feel like I should chip off part of my medal and send it to you.

This could be one of a billion things. Usually, it is poor hip external rotation mixed with tight/weak internal rotators. Do a search on mobilitywod for “hip extension” and “hip external rotation.” Also, there is an awesome video on opening the “medial chain” that would be helpful to you.
I would go on a huge diatribe explaining all this stuff in great detail but KStarr is smarter than me.
