Does anyone have any recommendations for new industrial metal bands?

Love me some classic Counterparts metalcore. Brendan’s other band, END, are pretty heavy. Also fantastic live.

I wasn’t really aware of Counterparts until I saw them open for Fit for a King a couple years ago. END is awesome. Their first EP became part of the lifting soundtrack rotation quickly. This one in particular

Anybody in to Down? A 90’s group with Phil Anselmo (Pantera), Pepper Keenan (Corrosion of Conformity guitarist), Kirk Windstein (Crowbar guitarist), Jimmy Bower (Eyehategod drummer).

They’re good. You can hear a little blues-rock in them with great musical talent but heavily distorted of course.

NOLA is an all-time classic album.

Maybe Anselmo’s best work.

Last night I went to see Till Lindemann (Rammstein lead singer) (at Adelaide Entertainment Centre), and he rocks pretty hard. 6 piece band. Plenty of shenanigans just like Rammstein did back in the day, pies thrown into the crowd, drummer having fish ā€˜removed’ from his behind (all theatre). And a great show overall, covered all his hits bar ā€˜stef auf’ but no complaints other than me being short, so tough to see it all in a standing only event!

An example of his live stuff:

Yes! I feel like a lot of people sleep on Soulfly, but also very good.

If you like Incubus, check out Audiovent (Brandon Boyd’s brother is the singer,) or Dredg for more of a Morning View sound.

Tried to get into dredg a bit back in the day but the only song I really liked was of the room. The groove it has is infectious! My band mates really liked them, though, so I was exposed to a lot of their stuff.

I’ll definitely check out audiovent though, thanks for the recommendation

I have the band name tattooed on my left forearm… got it lasered off to get something else though

Just skip to 3:25 for the fun part.

The breakdown of ā€œThe Fallā€ by the same artist is also insanely catchy.

Not till later this year, but have secured tickets to see foo fighters, and bush/shinedown. Not quite heavy, but some nice rekindled memories of yesteryear incoming. We seem to be getting some decent bands travelling to Oz of late, muchly welcomed.
